I am trying to get an online server working. This evening a friend was able to join my server but he couldn't see my car. I could see him fine. He could even crash into me, knocking me out the way. The physics happened normally for me but he didn't feel the impact, just continued driving as if I wasn't there. So I am ghost on my own server. He can see my laptimes in the timing screen but never my car on track, either when driving or watching from the pits. This happened in practice, qualifying and race. Does anybody know how to fix this?
Should be something with your graphic setting. I know someone who had the same issue but can remember at solution at the moment. I will need to ask him.
OK thanks. I'm not sure how this can be a graphics issue. It seems like a much more fundamental server problem.
OK I've just tried this again. Both using the same mod. I start the server. I can see both players but the other player cannot see me at all. He starts the server, it works. I can see him, he can see me. This is a major issue, has nobody hit this before? What can be causing me to be a ghost on my server?
I've just tried disabling both the software and hardware firewalls. Still the same. This is utterly insane.
Just got some feedback. Try to play with the different shadow levels. Maybe its solve the problem for you.
I am having this issue currently, Was there a fix for this somehow? I have tried re-installing the game but not luck, Tried heaps of changes but nothing seems to be making me show up in online sessions.
