Yes but they are those karts that you go with your colleagues. And apart from the helmet you dont even use any protection because they are really slow. So I dont think I can compare.
With the ISI karts I would lose the rear at the end of the straights with around 90 percent brakes.
With these new karts I can brake much much harder and later.

I've done that on a shitty 5.5hp rental kart before so I'm sure it works :p

The content looks good, but I think I might have to wait on this one. I just don't drive karts often enough and the tracks just doesn't do it for me for the asking price. I will continue to monitor it if more tracks get added in. If one of my local tracks get added, then it would be an instant buy (Road America go kart track, US Air Motorsports Raceway or Sugar River Raceway)

Only need to see a couple of videos to confirm it. Lando Norris testing Kartsim at the autosport show. The kart looks very stable. There is no oversteer, no corrections, no blockages. Even being quite aggressive with the accelerator the kart has no oversteer in any curve.

Just to compare ... same kart, same circuit.

Yeah, well, Lando is World Kart Champion for one:) and you do man-handle these karts around, locking the brakes and getting oversteer is very easy to do and kills your time.

I saw quite a few oversteer instances in the lando clip, obviously not as major or frequent though, also correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the real life clip on a wetish or greasy track, looks to me like it’s a drying track

Pretty sure it's a damp track. Way too slippery for a dry one.
Also even Lando has a very calm style, but as far as I'm aware he's used to having front brakes which requires a completely different approach. With rear brakes and kind of slippery tyres you won't get around going sideways every now and then, especially if you want to be quick. If you know how to control your angle it is actually the fastest to just do that, because otherwise you'll get stuck in understeer and go straight off the track, or if you have good tyres still get the corner but lose tons of time.
Can anyone tell me which laptime Lando did there? I can't read it

The only oversteer that I see in Lando's video is due to brake too late in a single curve. The rest of the lap, except for a small correction (of the line, not the kart), the kart seems to go on rails. In the real video you can see how the kart is much more nervous. It is misplaced in braking and with the pianos, it has oversteer in almost all the curves.

Track is completely dry and I would say with enough rubber. Anyway you can see any other video on YouTube.

EDIT: Here one with the wet track.

Previous time seems 0"57"5. Lando time seems 0"57"343.

Yesterday Devin was doing times close to 57:0 with some potential for improvement. I was trying to copy his technique but still polishing it. It requires being very specific with your inputs but it is deffo the fastest way to drive these karts and I trust his judgment on techniques, karting in general since he has over 15 years of experience and championship wins in his career.

It’s not totally fixed it just doesn’t have as much features that is available in the pro version that is aimed at the professional karting industry

I don’t think it is fair to try and compare the two. They are built using a completely different methodology and purpose. One is free content and the other spin off of a commercial product geared towards the professional karting industry. The KartSim product has had a lot more investment then the rf2 Karts so there is bound to be a difference in quality. That doesn’t mean other content on Rf2 is not accurate though

Thanks for the feedback. We are committed to improving the product all the time but a new Driver model is not currently high on the priorty list.
