Hey guys, i recently got a new pc and had to reinstall all my stuff including photoshop and all plugins. Of course, i switched to the newest Nvidia-dds plugin and was quiet surprised by the quality of the new BC7 format until I discovered that it seems that it’s actually not compatible with rF2. (Loading errors in DevMod and Skins not showing in showroom) I worked through the newest dev guides and discovered that there is also an Intel dds plugin. Installed it and with this plugin it all works flawless with BC7. So where is the difference in these two plugins and why doesn’t the Nvidia export correctly? Or did I just miss a setting in the Nvidia Exporter? Due to “some reasons” I would really stay with the Nvidia Plugin. When playing around with 3DsimED and the textures by Intel and Nvidia I also discovered a strange difference. In the texture browser the texture exported by Intel shows as properties: “BC7 (99)” whereas the Nvidia shows “BC7 (98)” What does this 98/99 mean? Maybe @Alex Sawczuk can shed some light on this?
Have you checked this one? https://docs.studio-397.com/developers-guide/general-reference/dds-export-file-formats Maybe the Nvidia plugin doesn't export as sRGB Besides this the intel plugin works faster for me but I haven't checked the Nvidia thing for a while
