While downloading workshop skins and .rfcmp files is easy I can't figure out how to get dds skins into the game. These are the files I've got: <name>.dds file <name>EXTRA.dds file (sometimes) a <name>region.dds file <name>.rcd file I watched some videos but it's not working.
part of the problem is due to S397 changing the naming and file requirements several times as they introduced the PBR shaders. Many of the cars first released need several revisions to work with the current format. Hopefully a painter like Chris or David will chime in with what is needed these days. As far as the RFCMP files, those should be semi self installers, you don't need to extract anything first. Place them in the packages folder, load the game to the first menu, choose the box icon and look for the item. click on it, (maybe right click) and install. (that is for the old UI btw)
