Hello. I have this problem since i have installed more than 20 mods. (some time February 2012) After i chose a server and car, i get the normal Loading screen with the picture of the Track and loading etc. This loading time seems normal, not over 20 seconds. But after that, it just gets insane. I see the lobby with 0 players at beginning, FPS drops to 0 and then it loads player after player. So at the beginning there is no player in the lobby and 0 FPS, around 10 seconds later, the next player has been loaded, and so on... So it takes over 3 minutes to join a server with more than 20 cars. After everyone in the lobby has loaded, FPS increases to normal 90FPS and everything else is normal. This insane loading depends on how many mods are installed. I completely reinstalled Windows 1 month ago with a clean rF2 install, only ISI content. Servers with 10 Players loaded within 15 seconds. After i installed more than 20 tracks and 10 or more other mods, the loading time increased to over 3 mins with 20 ppl, as i said. The reason i'm opening this thread so late is, i just thought it will get better with some patches of ISI. Is this problem already known? Will it be fixed in future? Does anyone else have this problem? Regards
Using only the officially released content mine takes around 2 mins to load and has done since release. I re-installed several times and changed drives but nothing seems to help, I only really try the game every 3 months to see if anything has improved.
ok for me, I hit the launcher, launch the sim, the game loads instantly, 1-2 seconds. Make my selections, hit race, and I am on the track in 20 seconds or less, depending on if I changed shaders or something. Something else is wrong? Sorry to hear you are having issues. Does not happen like that here.? As far as MP goes, same thing pretty much. Don't know
I have the same problem since the very begining. Not as slow as yours but it takes about 4-5 seconds for each player on the server to appear on the screen and let me play..
By the way... This also happens in Singleplayermode with AI My Settings: View attachment 7182 View attachment 7183
Yes I should have said my loading issues are single player issues. But the only time I tried MP it still took ages to load the track.
Hello, I also same thing happens, also when I am inside the holl stuck when entering another player for 5 seconds. It's hopeless. My setup is similar to yours, and my speed ProTrax optical link exceeds 50M.
Ok Just to make myself clear here, i am not having any issues in SP, the only thing i get is in MP when it's loading the other players, the track it self loads fine.
