Do the AI have access to the push-to-pass function?

I was racing the AI at Road America and one the AI drivers comes FLYING past me on the straight and it sure looked like he had access to p2p. I mean the AI were only on 88% and I've been playing long enough to know what tow looks like. This was not a pass from tow. He went past me like I was parked.

So what gives?

There is definitely no p2p or KERS function in rF2...
Perhaps you were on a lower boost or fuel map?
Are your aero levels higher than default?

There is temporary boost and power demand.
With Celica GTO you can use engine mapping 1 in and use temporary boost it works.

As Ari said about the temp boost and power demand. I'm not exactly sure what both of them do but I believe the temp boost would be the Indycar P2P. But it isn't enabled on the Indycar, along with the fuel and engine mapping.

Temporary boost seem to work in some mods if garage setup has engine mapping as option. Perhaps power demand is meant to work if garage setup has fuel mixture as option but I am not sure and it is not enabled in any mod I know about.
