is it possible to simulate in the game?

I'm not talking about having a fast 9 but at least that you are alone in the track and you have an average of 4 laps. Also in the standings how do you list speed instead of time?

    Thanks.

-4 laps instead of 1: not possible AFAIK
-speed instead of time: not possible AFAIK (but obviously results are exactly the same)
-Alone on track: when setting up the sessions (length, amount of laps, and so on) select private qualifying. Everyone can be on track at the same time, but they won't be displayed, so everyone is alone.

thanks, they should really have indy 500 rules, it's a pity to have the cars and the circuit and not the rules, the simplest thing to do.

Yes it's possible. You can set qualifying number of laps, you'd set it to five, in player.json, look for qualifying laps. Speed, no, but you can do the math yourself for that easily. Yes you can be alone on track.

However; with this option "on", you do get the draft(!)
Cars are running there as you can see in the bar; get very close to one (or in the circle) and you will see you go faster.........

no, that is not like the indy 500. If you do as you say, than out of those laps only your quickest lap counts, while for the indy 500 they take the average of all 4 (so all 4 count)

Ahh, yes, fair enough. You can limit the amount of laps though, and again, with math, you could do the averages. That would only really work online though.
