Wow, thanks a lot David, it was really insightful and in my limited perspective makes a lot of sense.
Perhaps I should give this mod a try!

You may have quite a bit of fun with the SimHQ's LMP cars. I am not talking "this vs real life," I mean on the pure driving aspect. Have a look around to find the download.

I had a look and I remeber driving the Simhq porsche 919. But I didn't really like it in my opinion when I drove it.
    Sorry.

URD mods are of a high quality and the physics are usually very solid with the 3D models being top class. Their EGT mod runs a hell of a lot better than any of the current GT3 cars from S397; I've no issues running a 30 car grid at max settings without any dips from 60fps; I can't manage the same with the GT3 pack without lowering shadows to low and turning down the reflections.

I own all of the URD content for rF2 (and Assetto Corsa); I've been disappointed with the lack of recent updates for the mods. For rF2 users this means a wait for the DX11 beta phase to be completed. Ales did address the concerns recently on the forum: https://forum.studio-397.com/index....pdate-v2-july-2016.37455/page-295#post-917840

    Hi David,

Your description doesn't jive with what I've seen watching recent WEC races, nor does it match with this description of the 919:

    https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/mot...19-hybrid-technology-lmp1-race-car-12724.html

Braking charges a battery that can be manually discharged by the driver at the appropriate time. The race at Spa a while ago (its on youtube) showcased the different use of the hybrid boost at going up the Eau Rouge and down the Kemmel Straight by Porsche and Toyota. The system would then need to be recharged before the boost could be deployed again. Apparently changing the brake bias to the rear also increases the recharge rate.

    Good spot there Jerry,
(and welcome, it seems you joined today)
In fact I had the wrong car in mind, it was the close relative to the Porsche and owned by the same group-Audi R18 E Tron that paid Williams and went Kinetic.
