OK, after downloading everything with the "rFactor2 All Locations 2012-08-07.torrent, when I now try to "get mod" it says I am missing MillsMetro 3.1. Everything else has a green check mark. I have run Mills many times in "All cars all tracks". Where in the heck do I get ver 3.1. WHAT A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS!
I'm really getting pissed at this whole process. I dl'd the Clio mod and ran it off line so it must be installed. Now when I try to "get mod" it tells me "Error trying to install the mod. Try manual install". The file "1960s WCR All Tracks v1.03.rfmod" is in my packages folder. WTF else could be wrong? I'm burned out on this process. As it stands I won't be racing tomorrow.
Welcome to rFactor 2. Lots of promises that it will get better so we'll see but now is convoluted as hell.
Shame you are having problems Rick. Goto the manage mods and look at the properties of the files which wont install, then choose the 'advanced info' tab - should give you an idea whats happening. Or you may have corrupt files which need downloading again, hope not
When I say that "1960s WCR All Tracks v1.03.rfmod" is in my packages folder I mean is it is there when I use Windows to see into the folder. When using Manage Mods it is not there, so I can't use the 'advanced info' tab nor can I do the manual install. In Windows the file is 751 KB. Right up until the Clio install all the boxes were checkked green and it told me that all I lacked was the MillsMetro 3.1. I now have 5 variants of Mills installed.
ok, having tested the F1 Spark, I guess I need to stay with the F3's for now, lol. Can't even keep the darn car on the track for a full lap.
You should try the Brab. It's much easier to handle. Probably because it is less powerful. Maybe at some point we'll do a Brab only race.
As Pluginz mentioned seeing as its not appearing in modmanager tends to suggest the file is corrupt, try manually downloading from the link in the vMod announcement thread here. Looking at the Required Content for "1960s WCR All Tracks v1.03" I see "1960s World Class Racing v1.1". That is another one that I have in my packages folder but Manage Mods doesn't list. Why would that be? What Manage Mods does see is "All Car & Tracks v1.0"
LOL I can't believe I didn't notice it.......according to the screenshot you attached, you don't have the ISI '1960s World Class Racing' mod installed let alone updated to v1.1! Your screenshot shows you have all the ISI mods installed and updated except the '1960s World Class Racing' mod
Good point, so I've been doing a bit of messing around trying to recreate your problem. If you run modmanager from the Core folder does the ISI '1960s World Class Racing' mod show up then (probably as installed)? If so then uninstall it, hopefully then when you run modmanager from the launcher it will appear so you can install it properly. Only slight problem is that whether you've got it installed (properly or not) it shouldn't have any bearing on the '1960s WCR All Tracks v1.03' vMod not showing in modmanager (assuming the files aren't corrupt).
Hot Damn! Nothing like a full reinstall to set things right! I'm good now guys. Will see any who show up in 1 hour at 1960s WCR All Tracks server.
