Thanks Jeremy installing the redistributable cured the missing MSVCP110.DLL problem and the running update again had sync manager install those files.

I had already installed that redistributable but because I'm on Win7 64bit I chose the 64bit version not the x86 one.

Happy to report that rFactor2 is now running.

Thanks for the info Jeremy. I ran the lite installer over the top and it completed without issue, but verification is showing me the following:
One or more critical simulation files failed verification.
    Support\660.uninstall failed verification.

Should I be concerned by this?

Nope, it's only because you used the Lite installer, that file is only there if you use the updater.

    Confirmed fix.

Additional information though... it's the x86 package that fixes the installer issue since rF2 is a 32-bit application. Users with 64-bit OS may think they need to download the x64 package but that's not the right one.

All of a sudden I can't open rFactor 2 at all. Not even the screen where you choose online/offline/devmode. I just get an rFactor 2.exe stopped working thing. I checked the Windows event log...

So looks like MSVCR110.dll is the problem. I have downloaded Visual C++ Redist 2012 update 4 as per the first link on the first post but rF2 still doesn't work. I have no plugins installed. I have reinstalled rF2 but the problem persists. I have tried the "repair" option in the Visual C++ Redist install and I have also uninstalled and then re-installed it, but it doesn't matter, the problem persists. B660 was working fine until this just randomly started happening. rFactor 1 and other games still work fine.

    Grrrr..........

You might need to delete your credentials file. To find it use the 'search programs and files' in the start menu and type %appdata% and hit enter, then open the rfactor folder and cut the Credentials file from the folder and see if the launcher will work again.

    Hi gents.
I have had this same issue today.
    APPCRASH
    fault module MSVCR110.dll.

So far I have tried downloading and installing the microsoft c++ redistributables 2013 both 64 bit and x86.
Also removing my credentials from the roaming file.

Not sure if its related and not to confuse things but internet explorer won't work either.

    Any ideas welcome.
    Cheers
    David

Go to Support\Runtimes in your rF2 install folder, and run all 4 files as administrator. Not sure it'll fix it, but it's best to run all those rather than just 2013.

Nothing seemed to cure the issue.
In the end I did a system restore back to a point a few days ago.
    All working now.

    Thanks for the tips.
