    It's too dark and too pure the road surface in RF2 rainning weather, even in day time. It wasn't a big drawback until assetto corsa competizione released.
    Remembered that the dynamic weather introduced by RF2 in about 8 years ago, very stunning. But I am now jealous and I have to say the rainy day driving atmosphere is more impressed in ACC.

    Super intelligent and well thought out and beautifully composed post, isn't it.

    Well rain is more advanced in ACC apart from physically accurate dynamic groove and drying that is simulated in rF2.

    However, I dislike Unreal Engine and I dislike general aesthetics. Even though it is very powerful and rich engine, it is just as it's name suggest.

    Oh, and there is visual puddles in rF2, and they does have reflections.

    Yes youre right. We have carbody reflection, wheels reflection but no headlights or rearlights reflection and in general no lights reflection. Perhaps with new shaders coming?

    I'm pretty sure lights can reflect... But it's up to the car-maker to make it possible... I'll double check later on...

    {
    Moveable=True
    MeshFile=hlglo_DS_r8_lmp.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False Reflect=True LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(350.0)
    }
    BOLD, underlined bit makes it reflect...

    It may not be the most extreme, blinding reflection as one might expect and hope... But it does reflect headlights - and rear lights.

    Yes I know this but what must be the characteristics of the light source for it to work properly?

    There are puddles and water reflections in the game already.

    Yes, they do.
    The particular screen you have there is of a car which doesn't have the reflect=true attribute added.

    To show you exactly what I mean I've actually gone through the trouble to remove one of the attributes of one of my many personal projects...
    Only the driver-side headlights are equipped with the reflect=true-attribute - the passenger-side one doesn't.
    Like I said above - it's not best, most bright and 'realistic' sheen you're hit with in the road surface, but reflect it does. GRAB_1105.JPG
