I tried to make the Imsa Weathertech Sportscar Championship Lexus RCF GT3, since my dad works for them. I got all the .mas files right, I watched a video on how to make it. When I went into the game it wasn't there. I want to know how to like put a bracket sorta thing into the game like what numbered car. If anyone knows what I did wrong can they help me
The mod is listed 2 times on your screenshot, what is a bit strange. What have you done exactly? Have you modified an existing mod? If yes, you should rename the mod and also all veh files and their entries for "description", to get them showing up in the menu. And is it a complete stand alone mod or and update of an existing mod? And remove all former installs of your modified mod, to avoid any conflicts.
I took some parts from the AM_FIAGT3 BMW Z4 from 2012. And the car itself i made myself. i edited the discription to have it as "#14 Aim Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F" and "#12 Aim Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F." do i have to change the Classes and Category
I'm wondering how it could pop up like one of these. Where I have to click an arrow to see the different schemes.
The structure, how vehicle content is listed in the menu, is defined by the "Category" entry of the veh file. And as said, if you modify an existing mod and use that as a new stand alone mod, rename all used veh files too. rfactor is very sensitive with file names. If you have 2 veh files with the same name, but different content, you get a conflict with the original mod, where only 1 of these files gets loaded by the game. And you can use different classes entries for your modified class, but you don't have to. It depends on, to which classes your car shall be added as opponent automatically.
No, if the veh file has the name 12AVSLexus.veh for example, rename it to my2019Lexus.veh, for example. And to set the category, that defines the appearance of a car in the menu, open the veh file and edit the entry "category".
You seem to mix up category and class as it seems. Class="GT3" for example (Classes= entry in the vehicle file) Category="Lexus,2019" for example (Category= entry in the vehicle file, that defines how the car gets displayed in the menu) If set as Lexus,2019 it will be listed under "Lexus" and submenu "2019". But if you want to have the car being listed under GT3 in the menu, cou can use the entry Category="GT3", yes
So I did everything you told me to do. Change the category, class, veh name. It still doesn't come up in the car menu
Have you removed all former installations of your mod? Have you also renamed the whole mod? It was listed 2 times in your screenshot. It has to have a different name as the original mod.
I changed the name of the mod in the gMotor2 when putting in the new .veh files. It still didn't want to show.
Can you please upload your mod somewhere and send me the link by private conversation? I have to go to work now, but if you upload it, i will check it later. We get that solved for sure.
It would be cool if you could get those cars in-game. Last year's factory cars would definitely be a natural to display the PBR graphics, or,
