I need to divide the flap from the rest of the wing

Hi guys! I was messing with rear flaps when I realized they need to be a separate object to work visually.
Now the thing is I tried dividing the thing myself using softimage but softimage messes up the uv mapping making adding shaders a nightmare. I dont have 3ds max and I dont download stuff illegally. So can someone with 3ds max please take these f1 rear wings I have and make two sep objects one for flap and one for the rest of the wing. Thanks in advance!
