As i see here: https://www.studio-397.com/modding-resources/ all the 3DS Max plugins are all 32bit. But how should i use them, i dont own this old versions that are still 32bit. Is there any way to get this working or what is the up-to-date plan to edit and mod tracks? Would be nice of someone could bring me up2date on this one
Licensed 3ds max version should contain both 32- and 64-bit versions. By default, installation application installs only 64-bit version and 32-bit version should be installed afterwards (if you do not use Advanced Installation to configure install procedure with your own needs). 3ds max exporter plugins works up to the version 2012, not newer. If you have no access to older max versions, you can still model your stuff with new max. Export your work from max to FBX - format and use separate gJED application for material finetuning and exporting to the game. gJED is stand-alone, real-time dx9 application, which can load FBX - files. With this application you can look at your track similar way than Track Viewer, but you can edit your material settings on the fly and export stuff in game. Please note that you can not edit any mesh geometry with gJED. All modelling and mapping work must be done in separate modelling application (like max), which can export stuff to FBX - format. There are many tutorials floating around in YouTube, gJED wiki (http://wiki.rfactor.net/index.php?title=GJED) or here, which should get you started. Cheers
Thx for the answer. How to import gmt files to MAX if i dont have 2012 Version? so i can export them? And gJED is a horrible tool. Are there any new plugins planned? I mean, for the modders?
