HOW TO: Hosting with SteamCMD and Paid Content

Hello again.
Following the tutorial everything works fine. I´m at the step page 8 (downloading the FREE content from S397) .It says:

·"Copy this line and paste into the command prompt, you'll need to change Your Steam Username and Your Steam Password to your actual Steam username and password (You need username and password now because you can only download rF2 content if you own the game);

steamcmd +login Your Steam Username Your Steam Password +workshop_download_item 365960 963980240 +quit
When that has finished use the same command to download the Karts...change 963980240 to 922034231 ie;"

So this is what i´ve got the DOS COMMAND
I have everything in "G"

G:\>Steam-CMD +philmcqueen123456789 +workshop_download_item 1515650133 +quit
'steamcmd' n’est pas reconnu en tant que commande interne (means that "steamcmd" is not recognize)

What , am i doing wrong?

G:\>Steam-CMD should be :
G:\Steamcmd
 
@ceecee , doesn´t work, sorry :(

I always have the ">" before

and thats perfectly fine :D

steamcmd is not found because you have to change INTO the steamcmd directory first
if you are on your G: drive, try a "cd steamcmd" first. Without the "
*sigh

and this basics are clearly ot

(you check that you are right by typing: dir and look for steamcmd.exe)

and really, open a new thread, i am willing to help, but this is cluttering the thread. And read first the basics linked above. You clearly dont know enough about commands.

Regarding the item download:
steamcmd.exe +login philmcqueen 123456 +workshop_download_item 365960 1515650133 +quit

Is there a way to have a multiple download working in one go?
 
@Akela_DE ...Already done ..That´s why .

Racki says in post 71:
"What Ive done additionally is putting the download commands of all mods into a batch file which I can run to get all the latest updates at once.
The rfcmp files are then automatically copied over to the packages folder."

And in post 71: Attaching is BAT file for automatic download.
"For copying all rfcmp files inside the download folder structure into the Packages dir I use the following Powershell Command:"

dir C:\Steam\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\365960 -Filter *.rfcmp -Recurse | Copy-Item -Destination C:\Steam\rfactor2-dedicated\Packages\ -Force

So multiple download how should i do? ;)

And for the 78 (yours) also readed that´s why this morning i´m adding IDs to your list ;)

 
I've modified a batch file that I found on github for Arma mods to work with rF2 content. Attached is the file for those that want to have a bo peep
Extract the bat file to your Steam-CMD folder and edit with your favourite text editor (I use Notepad++). I've added all the current paid content....all you have to do is two things....
1st thing is to scroll down to line 319 and change the path to your Steamcmd folder

2nd thing is to change false to true on the content that you wish to download/update... so in screen below if you want to download the 650S and the AMG then on lines 13 & 25 change the false to true and save. You'd then run the bat file.... It's currently setup to ask for your steam username and password (you can change that, but I wouldn't recommend it), and if it's the first time connecting it may ask for steam guard code....check your email that is linked to your steam account for it

You will notice that there are some there with mod name of @# and mod ID of #, these are blanks, so that any new content can be added, just replace @# with the mod name and the line below # to WorkshopID

hm, not working to me. i tried to make server with Endurance Package in two different version.

how i tried 1st
1. i created on my pc the ServerKeys and ServerUnlock files
2. uploaded this files to server, and copy to Dedicated Server UserData folder
3. i downloaded all endurance pack files with SteamCMD
4. i copied these to dedicated server Packages folder
5. i see the cars in Launcher but i can't instal these

how i tried 2nd
1. I packaged (zip) all files of Endurance Pack on my pc (Installed/Vehicles)
2. I uploaded the package to my server, and i copied to same folders
3. The instal is working now, it's fine
4. I made a new mode package on the server, its working, ok
5. I tried to start the dedicated server but this is empty

So, i don't understand what is the problem. Pls help me
