HOW TO: Creating a RaceEvent with Paid Content

That's what i did for bin files, thanks.
But you say to install the mod with the mod manager, but how did you get the mod?
Personally I copied the mod in the folder installed on my personal game and pasted in installed on the dedicated server. So, in the modmanager it is already marked installed.
Maybe the mistake is there?

It's not what you said in your previous post, no mention about copying bin file from server to local, but no matter, lets get this sorted.

On your dedi server;
1. Delete all the bin files in userdata folder.
2. Under your Installed/vehicles folder delete the 2 KartSim kart folders.
On you local machine;
1.Delete the bin files from your userdata folder.

On your local machine navigate to ....Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/365960 and look for two folders 1344542862 and 1344546612( that's the 2 folders that house the karts)....copy the rfcmp files in those 2 folder (4 of them) and paste them in your packages folder on your server.
Start the server and exit at the load track screen.
Copy the newly created bin file to your local computer.
Start local computer in Single Player mode and exit.
Copy bin files from local computer to your server.
Run modmgr.exe from the server's bin32 folder.
You then should see that the karts are not installed, so highlight both and click install.
When that is done you should see 2 "bold" items saying updates are available, highlight both and click update.
You can then create your vmod, when you get to vehicle selection you will see two of them, only select the highest numbered one for each kart.
Fire up the server and test.

Easy peasy

it works now.

I hope they will simplify all that with the famous update.

Any solution when i try to install the kart via modmgr and after the install it says still no and it is not possible to install the update. Looking in locations or vehicle shows it is installed.

 

Are you running modmgr from the server's bin32 folder? Can you post screenshot of your mod manager.

 

Ok. This problem is solved. But using version 1.13 of the karts. But now when starting the server there are no vehicles. Using the same vmod offline and everything is fine.

 

hmmm, struggling now.... have you tried to create a brand new vmod on the server?

Everything looks normal to me.
Have you tried it after selecting both versions of each car ? (i.e. Bentley 1.96 and 1.971 etc.)

I also have a problem with paid Vehicles, I've managed to make the package, select all the track and cars. Yes i've installed all the paid content with no errors (put the licensed in userdata). The problem is when i tried to make the mod online, There are no Vehicles in the Vehicle list, only the track listed. Tried free mod, no problems. i am running 2 server, and it worked before without any problem ( server 1 Paid mod), server 2 (Free mod), help please

 

Have I read this right, you've added new paid content and now cars are not visible to select? Did you rerun the unlock process again when you added the new paid content?....it needs to be done every time you add new paid content.

 

I didn't do anything like adding new paid content. I just restart my server in order to change the duration of the race. The vehicles were there before, but now its empty. By unlocking you mean putting license script to a working node right?

 

Hello, it works fine for me now .
In this window if you have different car version, only choose the higher one.Example:

Audi R8 GT 1.00
Audi R8 GT3 1.01

Choose the second one. Do the same with other car and don´t miss the point to use CTRL /Shift for multiple selection

 

Here what i did.
1.I've Uninstall and reInstall the paid mod with no error.
2. Chose the latest ver of the paid mod and repackage with no error.
3. Install the mod - success
4. Run the Server, no Vehicle on the vehicle list window....
5. Help

 

if the key not loaded, how could i managed to install the paid mod?, it would not be installed unless the key is loaded. am i right or wrong? .

 

You can install the content without the key, but it will not work.
