because packages are always making trouble, sometimes i have to make a new raceevent with only S397 tracks and i am missing a tag before the 397 tracks

when i choose a track I want to have a overview which tracks are from S397 (to few) like in ISI and 3PA. How do i do that ? Is it possible ?

i have changed the foldername and the trackname.mft like it is in ISI/3PA tracks, but thats not working.

it is the same with modtracks, i hate that i have the same tracks with diff. version number but no possibility to see which one is better/newer/from whom.
    E.g T78_Hockenheim is good(additional Version# would be even better), Watkins_Glen_0.xx is not.

I'm not totally sure of the context of your question/problem, but it's quite possible there's no way to do what you want.

    Thx for answering, lazza
what i mean is this, i want the S397 tracks with a S397 in front like it is with ISI and 3PA so i know the tracks without a tag are modded tracks.

@Akela_DE The name would be part of the identifier for the track, at least. You could repackage the tracks so that their new names have the prefixes you want, but then if you use those new packaged tracks to create events people would need to have the new tracks - the originals wouldn't work.

Without testing I guess there might be a slim possibility of adjusting the name in manifest files or similar and having it show up in the mas tool, but I suspect you'd need to change something that would then make the component fail verification, and at that point it won't work at all.

There are some things you just can't change, rF2 has more flexibility than most but there are still limits.

Thx for the explanation! So its only for the devs to label their stuff in the future. Please.

You could go old school, pen and paper, make a list of S397 tracks and their version numbers. Easily to update and always at hand, so long as the dog doesn't eat it. :D
Or you could go all nerdy and make a text file. :(

I remember a sense of disappointment when games started featuring automaps. I fondly remember mapping out cities in Bards Tale on graph paper.

Then I wake up and say to myself "Take the easy option, you idiot"
