Open the material editor click on the material you want to change.
Click gmat (on the right of the material name) and select standard from the selection box window.

    OR

Just use one of the other material balls and assign that ball to your mesh.

Thank you so much for your quick answer, Nibiru!
I know what you said, but, I am a beginner in this field. For example, as shown:[IMG]
In the gMotorMaterial setting, there are so many parameters to tune, such as some texture stage, type (color, color ,cube, specular, ...), blend (multiple, multiply, shader, ...), I don't know how to match the settings when using standard material.

So, could you give me more guidance, thank you so much!

It doesn't really matter. I assume you want to use gJED, you would set it up in that.

    Hi
Hi, Coutie, I would like to set these parameters in 3D MAX, not in gJED :)
Well, should I completely match these setting corresponding to gMat settings, one to one.

    I can't see your image.
the only reason I use standard material is when I make an Ambient Occlusion map as gmat doesn't work.
To start with the material ball for gmat needs to be multisub material then the slots below become gmat.
Try opening one of S397's cars or tracks from devmode in jGed or 3dsimed to get an idea of what settings to use.
