as the title says: How much money did you spend on your simracing hardware.

EDIT: Correcting myself, not counting every hardware you bought till now, but counting the hardware for your current simracing rig.

well, i would have wanted to add a section < €100. But it seems that is not possible anymore. In that case please vote > €100. I don't know of many wheels < €100 anyway. (on the other side, what about people racing with cheap controllers? maybe S397 can change options).

Do you want our lifetime total or only a total for our current set-up? Should it include the price of the computer, too?

Hey @Goanna are you using Next Level Motion? (I see the price is right for that)
Yeah I'm lucky, I'm married and my wife lets me spend on my hobby (just shy of $10kAUD for the current rig)

    ;)

I'm lucky like Goanna, I only have to argue with my conscience, very heated arguments sometimes, blood has been drawn.
12 years ago started with a Logitech Momo on a desk.
4 major hardware upgrades with different brands and home made cockpits.
Now and basically (hopefully) the last setup.
Simucube, HE Pro pedals and shifters, button box, triple monitors etc.. on DIY 8020 cockpit
Easily in the top line of the poll.

Woah. Did you buy it all at once or over a long time period bit by bit?

You must have an intense sound system to go with the rest? What are you using? How many watts?

Oddly no, just onboard sound....use built in headset in Vive pro and Sennheiser headset when not vr’ing. Living in flats precludes me having anything “loud” :)

for the current setup (sorry i was too vague and even missleading). like i bought GFX cards for simracing: GTX 570, 670, 780Ti and now using 2080Ti and i only count the 2080Ti. (but i only bought the 2080Ti for simracing. otherwise i wouldn't count it). of course there are many gray zones. but the poll doesn't have to be completely correct (as scientific) either.

Every piece of hardware ever bought since I started sim racing 23+ years ago?
I'm not even going to add it up, but worth every penny I've spent. It started with a 4MB memory upgrade that cost about $300-$400.

Good to see I am not the only spendy wendy here :D $5k motion + $2k transducer setup alone is crazy. Bottom line so far: expensive hobby :D Although, not as expensive as Slicks and/or blown gearbox.

to be honest, i am a bit surprised how much money rF2 users spent for simracing hardware (though i assumed it will be high), if i would have known i would have used a different scale for the poll (up to €15000)
