I'm aware that graphical performance is not an exact science. But lately there's something bugging me.

How far worth LODing track-side objects?

I mean, you always gain performance LODing objects or there is a point where the amount of GMTs to load and their processing starts acting negatively?

LODing the RaceSurface* instances absolutely murdered performance instead of improving it when I tried it with Fuji.

I only use LODing for high-poly objects that are only viewed up close and are hidden/not visible from further away. The inside of pit tents, garages or pit perches, like lights or most bars. LODing in an area where fps is good anyway generally isn't worth the effort, so LODing on pitlane stuff or other low-fps areas is time better spend IMHO.
