OK, I give up... how do you restart the Formula Renault if you stall it? I have ignition and starter buttons mapped, I go into neutral... but I cannot restart the car once it stalls.
You can't , if ai is enabled on the server, you can switch to ai control momentarily to start the car, but afaik, these cars can only be started in the garage.
Thanks... I'm only playing offline, and yeah, I stumbled on the AI/no AI restart, by mashing random keys on the keyboard
That MAY in fact be true. F1 cars sported onboard starters up through the end of the 1981 season... ...but beginning in '82 the starters were no longer required. I'm guessing the modern Renault series you are looking at are equipped the same way--"sans (aka "without") starters" (but I can't confirm it personally yet as I haven't tried them myself...or delved into the files. So it's just a guess on my part, really). Hopefully a semi-educated one though, too. So...am I right? CS
LOL, I stalled too on a server test .... AI control was disabled ....and I slowly realized I was not going to be going anywhere ... Actually, with my sim head on .... this is cool .... forced more concentration and awareness.
How is this dealt with in real life then? Race over if you stall on track? Or does someone come to start the car under a yellow flag?
Recovered to the side of the circuit and race over for you! Quite a few modern single seaters that don't have onboad starters have some sort of anti-stall system to prevent it though
