Eastern U.S. player here, and new PC user trying to race online. What are my options, where are the servers, how do I join? Any help is appreciated thank you.
When rf2 starts click the 2 heads on the left. That will bring up the server list. Choose a server. Pray you have the content or the server is set to auto download missing content. Have fun
In RF2 things tend to be organised in advance so you might not always see an "arrive and race" environment that suits you. So you will find it useful to join a community that races the kind of things you want to race. A good start is to look at the server list and see who is doing what, then start searching from there.
yes you need to know a group - pure pick up racing doesn't exist especially in your time zone - try premier on Wednesdays at 9 eastern - open server, mix of cars, fun races - sometimes drivers there on other nights during the week [practicing - server has get mod enabled - or if you are into stock cars - they race most nights around 8 or 9 eastern you need to get off work early or race on the weekend to race with the Europeans, there are more groups in those time zones dont join open servers that look like they have people - it will frustrate you - its all ai on those servers
@ Jason, Check out this group http://vrc.createaforum.com/index.php?action=forum We are about to start two different series that race Wed. evenings and Sunday late mornings here in north America, see web site. Gerry
