    Hi everyone,

I have been trying for ages to get the animated workers moving, but I am missing something.

Is there a step by step way to get them working? I have found a few links here in the forums but they are dead and go to the old website.

Any help would be appreciated. Mike

The quickest Way is to use 3DSimEd, i would say.
Take a working Marshall that you want to use from any Track.
Import it in 3DSimEd, then go to Edit and click the green Cross that is right beside of the Translate Button and select "Bottom Center Model".
Then go to "Face Data Attributes" and set the Pivot Point to 0,0,0 and click OK.
Export the Mesh into a new Folder.
Also export all it's Textures to the same Folder.
Then open the SCN File and search for the Marshalls Entry.
Copy the whole Instance Entry (i would suggest to copy the 000 Entry) for the Mesh and all linked Animations.
Paste it into a txt File and put it into your Folder were the Mesh and Textures are.
As last Step, take all the Animation Files that are linked in the SCN Instance and paste them also into your Folder.
Now you have a basic Marshall with all what it needs (i hope i forget nothing).
To get it on your Track, do this:
Load your Track by importing the SCN File into 3DSimEd.
Navigate to the Position where the Marshall shall stand, richtclick there and select "Memorize XYZ".
Import your Bottom centered Marshall and hit Ctrl + C, to copy it.
Go to the Window with the loaded Track and click Ctrl + V, to paste it here.
On the opening Window, click the Button MR.
Move and rotate the Marshall until it fits the wanted Position and click the green Checkmark in the Window.
If it's done, again click "Face Data Attributes" and set the Pivot Point to 0,0,0.
Export the Mesh (000 for the first Marshall) into your Folder by using "Save rFactor Model" (NOT rFactor Object!!).
Link your Folder in the Search Pathes of the SCN and paste the Entry (000 for the first Marshall) into the SCN too.
Load the Track and it should work.
As said, i hope i didn't forget something.
If it don't works, please report here again.
If you want to position the next Marshall, you have to delete the first Marshall before you repeat the Procedure.
Mark it and select Faces -> Delete.
