Hello sim racers, Following our build update release earlier today, a new hotfix build has been deployed just now to address some issues found around server unlock process. These server unlocks are machine agnostic, the game client will generate userdata\ServerUnlock.bin every time it is launched regardless of subscribed/owned content. This key pack can be used on any server to install and access all DLC packs. The new change log can be found below: Build: 10604370 Dedi: 10604378 - ModMgr can now load 1132 version server unlocks.
Hi, i have tried to install LongBeach on server and got this: update: solved now, by right click on it and install....
Hang on. Do I understand this right. We don't need to generate a serverunlock from a personal (my) computer anymore, but we are given one by default with all content available?
Not quite right, no. Before you had to start the unlock procedure on the server, continue on a client with the required content, and then put it back on the server. Now, clients will generate a file every time and you can use any such file on any server. So if someone with all content were to share their unlock file here, everyone could use it to run DLC on a server. Note that it would need updating when any DLC is updated.
There's currently an issue with the keys unlock process, Coutie said on discord that there will be a fix tomorrow, my workaround to get DLC installed was to revert both server(steamCMD server in my case) and client to 1131, then do the previous normal method to generate the unlock key. While I was on1131 on the server I then installed the DLC and made and installed a rfmod. Changed server and client back to 1132 and all is working ok.
Hmm. Hasn't this been the case all the time? The 2.5 years I've been handling the RaceDepartment servers (and what I was told by the former server-guru there), I've bought stuff myself, and used the ServerUnlock my pc creates, and then moved that one to the RD-server. This was what the former guy did as well, but from his PC. This has been done for all 5 servers we have. I've never had any problems with any ServerUnlock, regardless of what PC it originated from. Except that it won't work right now due to there still being issues. Oh well. Guess I'll keep buying the DLC then
