I'm hoping somebody could help me hosting a game either via LAN or Online.
I recently switched from non steam to steam and since migrating I can no longer host.
I never had an issue with non steam, it worked a charm.

I have two computers side by side.
I have setup port forwarding and firewall rules on both computers (refer screenshots)
I can see the game I created in the lobby but every time I try and connect I get the "Server Connection Failed" after it try's to do a Direct Connect.
I have tried hosting on each PC (for testing) and each PC can only see the game that was created -
eg) PC1 hosts a game - PC1 can see it, PC2 can not
    PC2 hosts a game - PC2 can see it, PC1 can not.

Happy to play either LAN or Online.
Any ideas on where the problem may be?
    Thanks in advance.

Try making a HomeGroup so the computers recognise each other.
