I subscribed to this challenge, when I start it up, it starts up, but there is no sound. Does anyone know of a fix? Thanks, ZZ I fixed it by downloading an earlier version of the rfcmp. v1.49. Now I have sound.
where did you find the v 1.49 file. busy looking for it now. is this some error that's being worked on ?
cheers, found it and got the engine sound working. I take it that the eves and sparks need to be updated to 1.49 on steam. Seem to only get 1.48 from steam.
Maybe you should delete the old ISI mods. If you make a fresh installation in steam, you get Historic Challenge_EVE_1968 and Historic Challenge_spark_1968, both in version 2.0. I have somewhere read that as long as you have the ISI versions installed, the new ones are kind of hidden.
had a hard drive die last week so have a fresh rf2 install now, all my steam subscribed stuff was all reinstalled. only took a day and a half. will have a look around, i have the historic f3-eve community pack subscribed, funny that the engine sounds worked if i used those cars and not the the standard eve and spark cars? will try and delete the community pack then see if the sparks and eves show up in the vehicle list as 2.0 as at the moment they are listed as 1.48.
When you are in the launcher, click the content button and uninstall the ISI eve and spark mods, if they are still installed. Then you should see the 2.0 versions in game and also the community pack.
yep that's what i did so now its all good, there was older files in there causing the problem, now they show up as 2.0 and i have sound too. cheers. now all i need is a server in Australia racing these things with low ping and I will be a happy chappy.
