Helping the community by uploading mods to Overtake.GG (RaceDepartment)

I've had quite a few friends ask where I got some of my mods from and I've noticed there were quite a few that I couldn't find anymore and the ones I could find were very hard to find on the web. Just wondering if everyone here thinks it would be okay if I re-uploaded the ones I have to Overtake.gg formerly RaceDepartment. I would ask permission but the problem is most of these are between 6 and 12 years old so I'm not sure some of the modders even have anything to do with RF2 anymore nor do I know how to contact them. Want to help the community without stepping on any toes.
Thoughts?

Racedepartment/Overtake.GG has been running for many years. The mod/track creators haven't uploaded to that website for specific reasons.

The reasons can be varied from copyright infringement, bans from the staff members, unable to control updated content etc.
Get explicit permission from the author/creators first before uploading anywhere !!!
If you don't/can't get permission, don't do it

You should list the mods to perhaps seek community help to contact the creators. We used to upload to our own webspace and stayed away from OverTake/RaceDepartment due to their (RD at the time) policies. When the Workshop became available, we moved there.

I remember there used to be very good mods host site for rF1 - rfactorcental ? I wonder what happened, why it didn't continue with rF2 ? Why so many mods didn't make way to rF2 when it is so easy to bring them, and not just bring them, but also boost them up respectably ? Why there is such lack of respectable rF2 mods ? Or is there a lack of respectable rF2 mods, maybe there is no community which would tell what mods are good by just simply using them and talking about ? If there isn't much community, then whos there to help ?

rF2 looks to have fallen in unfortunate slot. There are so many gamers who has so much "to try" in AC alone, and then there are all other sims and so much content. rF2 is in advantage when people takes time to perceive. rF2 is in disadvantage when people shuffle through content rapidly. Unfortunately trying things does nothing for community sustainability, and naturally content gets forgotten sooner or later. At least it doesn't get extinct I guess ? It will remain there for internet archeologists to re-discover them hundred years later.

I do think it would be good to have alternative place to host mods all the times, not just one place. Racedepartment has advantage that people needs to be consciously more connected to mods to update them, and there are few more clicks required comparing to "click subscribe" in workshop and then forget you did it a minute later, and ones you subscribe you hardly keep track about updates. On the other hand workshop is superior for same reason - effortless updating and installation.

I have recently uploaded couple cars to overtaken.ggg, not much good out of it.

Eitherway, perhaps it is good idea to "save" few mods which might be on the edge of extinction ? Because people don't talk about them, don't use them. And they keeps getting buried in difficult to navigate, updates shadowing, communication not generating, order lacking steam workshop.
