I have most of the mods installed, and the game runs all the cars and tracks but when I go to the advanced tab I see this rFactor2 Content Inventory @ Sep 08 2012 21:01:18 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Component "MonteCarlo1966 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "HistoricTalent 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "BrabhamBT20 1.0" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "HistoricOpenWheels 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "MonteCarlo1966 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "HistoricTalent 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "BrabhamBT20 1.0" failed to verify, removed from inventory Component "HistoricOpenWheels 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "1960s World Class Racing 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "Formula Renault 3.5 1.0" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "Formula Renault 3.5 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "Formula Renault 3.5 1.2" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "GT World Endurance Championship 1.0" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "GT World Endurance Championship 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "ISI Formula Masters 1.0" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "Renault Megane Trophy 1.0" failed to verify, removed from inventory Mod "Renault Megane Trophy 1.1" failed to verify, removed from inventory I suspect some of these things are missing from the game when run it, though most are not...I'm puzzled, anyone able to throw some light?
I have 1.0 as reported by the Manage mods link to the mod manager, all the other mods are up to date with all updates applied. I can see no All Track and Cars update on the downloads page. The only thing missing in game are the series mods, all the cars and tracks are there, but nothing will persuade the series mods to show.
Try deleting the .mft files of the faulty mods if you have them (those files are in Manifests folder) then try to reinstall the mods.
Heh I have deleted everything, reinstalled the whole kit and caboodle at least ten times, every time I end up back in the same situation. I have removed every mention of rF2 redownloaded everything still no luck.
It's all gone very quiet...Is my All Tracks and Cars VM out of date? Is there life on Mars? Does toast always land butter side down? and will I ever see a Series VM other than All Tracks and Cars?
Hey knight, try to redo this with a cool mind? Uninstall rf2. Delete RF2 folder from Program Files. Reboot. Reinstall RF2. Install all ISI content. Get into game and into a track. If everything is ok, exit and reboot. Download all modders tracks from here http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7103-Download-All-locations-(torrent) Install these and then install mods you want. EDIT toast ALWAYS lands butter side down. Pure Physics. (like kittens and babies LOL)
Done that mate...did all those things before I posted...I guess I will do it again next week, thanks to re downloading several times already I am on the ragged edge of my very small monthly download allowance...Been at it for three days, so I will just chill and play with what I have for a few days...and get in some practice for my club races on the other sims.
I just want to emphasize that I believe a clean ISI content installation is a MUST before you get into installing modders stuff. The way to check this, is to get into Manage Mods and check if there are * in there. At Options there, check Show Mods Only and see if there are * there too. If there are, right click on them and install or update. There is a sticky on top of forum too about these things http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...alling-Uninstalling-Reinstalling-and-Updating
Yes I followed that...I did try everything except downloading the full new version before I posted...I cannot do that as I don't have enough data allowance but next Monday that is my last ditch hope Like I said, I did a clean install, updated everything but still got what you see in my first post.
Only way to get over such a problem (it happened to me too) is go for the full version. Updating works ok, if you dont have ANY asterisks in Manage Mods (as far as Ive seen)
You butter your kittens and babies?...Okay babies I understand they fry so much better in butter, but kittens? that is just barbaric LOL Yeah the full version is what I wanted to do, but you learn a lot while trying to fix the unfixable, takes a lot to get me to post a problem to a forum I have to have tried everything I can think of first.
Hey Knight Just an Idea, but why not save your downloads to an external Hardrive (thats what i do) saves having to redownload everthing again...but like i said just an idea. ps. i like my toast buttered, right side up.
Yup do that, but I was trying "everything" so when uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work, well I redownloaded the cars and tracks, and the updates just to be sure... It was at the point I had run out of other things to try. Been a bad few days for racing sims for me, I have Race07 on Steam and they made a real mess of that program last week due to a unnecessary "upgrade" All part of the "joy" of PC's ...good tip though, I learned that one the hard way
i remember having this failed to verify mess long ago... i deleted some stuff, the .mft files maybe? and the still couldn't clear the rFactor2 Content Inventory failures. then i deleted the C:\...\Documents\rFactor2\UserData\CmpReport.txt next time i tried to verify the CmpReport.txt file rebuilt itself and the failures were gone. might help.
Thanks...as it happens I solved it, I realised that the only mod showing was the ACAT one, so went looking for a folder with just that mod file. Found it. So, looking in the Packages folder there were the Installed and the other folder related to installed mods thats name escaped me, in there doing no good at all. I copied them to the same file location as the solitary ACAT mod and that was that, the mod manager from the main game window picked them up and I now have them all installed. Not sure how things ended up in the wrong place, same trouble with the sound files, always have to move them from were they get installed over to the core program folder to hear engine sounds.
