    Windows. 7 pro
    I7 2600k
    Gtx970

Decided to update all my drivers ( bad mistake ) down loaded DRIVER BOOSTER 2
Then via driver boost 2 updated all my drivers and then rebooted my PC.

On startup, goes into windows 7 main screen then crashes after 5 seconds.

Then blue screen with error message and
    STOP. 0x0000001E . Etc.

Tried running safe mode, exactly the same.

Lost to know what to do, have thought about reloading a fresh window 7.

    Can anyone help.....

That don't sounds good and i can't help you in that case.

The only thing that i can say and what i always would recommend is, NEVER and i mean NEVER use software like Reg-Cleaner, automated Driver installer and stuff like that.

Better install/update/uninstall things manually by your own.
It's the only way to be sure what was done ;)

Gave the PCs a spring clean, tidied all the interconnecting wiring, turned it on one last time before starting a fresh win7 download and it then started to do a repair setup. ( never did that before ).
    Now works okay.
Amazing what a bit dusting can achieve.

    Driver booster ..................really ? :)

    1. Take ALL above advice.

    2. Don' t run unnecessary software ( see Line 1 )

    3. Do fresh Hardrive

At first add nothing but drivers , vbasic, netframe, DX, etc etc
    Tweak it
    Then add rFactor2
    Test

Now I am going to take a wild guess and say a new OS done like that.............. it will not crash.

If it does you have hardware or bios issues.

    So problem solved !

But Now .......you have to add what software you like or want you think will be okay with the proviso you REALLY need it.

Add software slowly test rF2 in between etc.

    " Process of Elimination"

Once you build your near perfect OS it would be a shame to lose it.

    4. Image it.

    ;)

or you can use HyperOS and separate all your computing needs into basically separate but identical PC's.

I think I will stick to the dedicated PC for race sims as Durgedrivens suggested Pc setup, which is pretty much as it was originally and as suggested gave no problems.
This time I will resist the PCs magazines wonder bits of software which bring with them a load of unwanted and sometimes hidden software.
