Whut? Skylines have been inline 6 cylinders. The GTR is a V6, and the GT1 GTR that is in rF2 is a V8.

The RB26DETT is a legendary engine really (alongside the Toyota 1JZ/2JZ)... Been in the R32 up to the R34.
But yeah, GTR has always used an inline six, untill the R35 :)

People stop arguing. The 240z is an inline 6. The 370z and Nissan gtr (r35) are v6's. Except for the ISI's gt1 racecar, thats a rwd v8.

Sorry Jr, the fix is easy for the modder, however, I have the new vette and camaro installed and I still have sounds for these two cars.
Can't say I understand why yours are gone. I just ran Toban reverse track with a field of both of these. It was great. Managed to do a 1:16:323 after about 12 laps.

    Thanks for the sounds!
The Hakosuka is a charm to drive, while I'm still suffering to control the Z. I thank you a lot for bringing those cars to rF2! Beautiful stuff.

Couln't resist and started messing with the physics. I added an alternative .hdv, engine and gear files for the Z, so that I could create a new car without altering the standard ones:

I apologize, the sounds have not happened as quickly as expected, but the good news is I've gotten some samples from my Z owner in Texas and they sound great. He's been very busy [real world stuff] but promises more sound samples very soon.

On another note - I've finally managed to tweak the chassis and get rid of the god awful snap spin the 240 was prone to. Feels MUCH more natural [and realistic IMHO]. You can still get the rear to swap ends if you push too hard. Also bumped the curb weight back up to realistic numbers.

Lastly, in an effort to help fine tune the car for match racing, I've made two optional engine upgrades:
The base install is the factory stock L24 - Dual SU Carbs and 151 HP
The first upgrade option is a mildly tuned, Dual SU 2.6L engine putting out 180 HP
Lastly is a triple Weber tuned 2.8L putting out a fun 225 HP

With this last configuration [2.8L] I've been practicing all morning against a BMW Z4, the original Hakosuka and the recently released Mazda Miata SCL1 [v1.32 supercharged Miata] and having an absolute riot! :D
