Finally completed a couple rF2 races after un-installing and reinstalling the whole package.
Running with SLI and I can complete a couple of races before CTD so I thought I'd try it on one card. Same problem occurs.

Not yet had a BSOD but the CTD gives me no information on what is creating the CTD's
The only items I've installed are ISI downloads ~ cars, tracks etc.
Does rF2 not like SLI or GTX 780 ;)

I think I get a CTD once in a while, but thank goodness only the odd time when I exit a server (most likely was going to exit the game anyways), or when I click exit to exit the actual game.

I never had one otherwise. When do you get the CTD?

Is your power supply ok? If it's 5 or more years old it's probably not giving the rated supply

I've got a gtx780 and don't have any problems. Single screen guy here though, triples always seemed more trouble than they were worth.

    Gary,
Have you checked Windows Event Viewer for clues? That may narrow it down.
Mine crashes if I try to use Simvibe with it.

Exception code: 0xc0000005 = Error: access violation 0xC0000005

Can it bee that you have updated video card driver ?
Sometimes 0xC0000005 errors occur after video card driver updates. If that is the case rollback to the drivers you’ve been using before the update.

Faulty RAM or some other device driver?
Your computer may have a virus and the 0xC0000005 error informs that the system prevented execution of a malicious application ?
Maybe this one, 0xC0000005 error occurs because of Data Execution Prevention (DEP) introduced by Microsoft in Windows SP2 and used in later versions. DEP is a set of security features that prevents code execution from non-executable memory segments.

But to bee honest with you I am 90% sure it is this, 0xC0000005 error is often caused by poor maintenance of your computer and corrupt registry entries that pile up as you install and delete programs, especially when you install new programs over old ones that were not completely deleted. To get rid of the 0xC0000005 error you could check all the registry entries manually but this procedure is long and complicated. If you are not a computer expert checking your registry manually may take a few days. In addition, you may damage important registry entries. So if you are not a PC guru use special software to repair your registry.

    Might have located the problem.
Malwarebytes was doing a scheduled scan during the last crash and is constantly running in the background. Turned it off completely during last gameplay and had no problems.

Running nVidea's latest driver 344.11 and have no problems with other games.
I don't have any faulty ram or other hardware problems. I check it all every week to ensure nothings failing.
Registry backed up & cleaned regularly.

Thanks for the help and advice guys .. I'll update if I have any further problems.

Glad you seem to have got it fixed up.

Always best to have nothing (or as little as possible) running in the background.

    Enjoy...

Do you mind to post your SLI experience here?

Bits that you're using, FPS SLI vs FPS Single and other relevant details?

I'm still struggling trying to have a decent GPU usage, single card is working better in all senses than two cards which makes no sense.

I seem to have more CTD if I use SLI so I'm now sticking with a single card for rF2. All other race games I use I can turn on SLI and have no problems.
I do use a 27inch 144hz monitor and cap the FPS to 120 which is more than sufficient for this game.

I don`t think SLI is causing CTD and if SLI works with other games it don`t mean that OS and drivers is working as they should.
CTD is not unusual with rFactor2 I think it happens to everybody sometimes and I bet you are going to get CTD also with single card.
