[REL] GTPC 1984 edition

Thanks to all you guys for giving this mod to us.
I don't want to sound like a whinger, but, are you able to allow more adjustment the seat so as to sit further back in the cockpit and not feel like we're sitting so close to the dash.
Thank you again.

4 hours of testing Mazda 727 today. Top notch mod! Physics, tyres, aerodynamics, engine behaviour - superb work! Thank you!

Our last 2 cars are now available on steam! :D

Hi @[ODS]Arnaud

I have painted a Rothmans Porsche 956B and it worked perfect with the files located at this folder:

X:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\GTPC_P956\TEST_LM

I use this folder for testing the car while I make advances with it. I also use a TEST_LM.rcd file.

I decided to make a MAS file with all the files needed for a car to work when the MAS is saved into this folder:
X:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\GTPC_P956\1.42

I launched rFactor2 and both cars are listed properly. However, there is a problem with the mirrors in the MAS version. As you can see, 2 yellow lights are shown in the mirrors. I have included the MAS file into a 7z one.

Is there anything I am doing wrong? I had the idea of making a 1983 carset since most of the cars also raced in that year, but it will take a lot of space to make then for being used from the \Settings folder.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Check out the original car of the veh you used see if it has the light ? There is a gen string in the veh file maybe it is the reason ?

Thank you for your answer.

That didn´t help. The problem was that there was 2 cars with the same name/number: Porsche 356B #2, one for WEC and the other for LeMans. So I renamed the one I made as Porsche 356B #002 and everything is ok now. Why this caused that problem? I don´t know.

If you retreive the original files from rf1 mod (or AMS conversion), you can have all the LM1983 skins in original resolution. Maybe that will help you.
Thank you!! I will try that. I made a lot of paintings for the rF1 version but I think the templates size was 1024x1024 while the rF2 ones are 2048x2048. I will see what I can get of this :)

Now I'm finally mall come to drive the last two cars and must say......simply fantastic ! ! ! :)
A big thank you to all involved for this great work !

Please more of it ! ! ! ;)

Hi [ODS]Arnaud

I am finishing a set of cars for the 1983 LeMans race, Porsche 956 only (2 cars left so far), though I plan to add the Lancias too. I was wondering if there are templates for helmets and driver suits.

Thank you! :)

Great!:p

For the drivers (ISI 2013 model):
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/rf2-driver-and-helmet-template.576/

For the helmet I don't have the template, only the dds: https://www.mediafire.com/file/jlkahgh8um5q5em/helmet_80_template1024.zip/file

If you have the motivation, feel free to also make the drivers & helmets for 1984.:) It's on my todo list but I'm not good at painting...
