If nothing has changed, i also would say, that to use the full IBL/PBR "functionality", is possible only with 1 Material currently and that is WCCARBODY. So all parts of a car that shall use it, have to be mapped to the same Texture and use the WCCARBODY Material.
Has there been update to this mod lately I seem to remember there were wec83 and wec 85 roosters but now those are gone
Those cars are still there but I've erased those exotic category filters. Now you have Le Mans 1984, WEC 1984 & also category filters per car model. *********************************** - To everybody - Concerning BMW M1 & Porsche 930-934-934/5, I had recent feedbacks from steam that tire skid sounds are now too weak & than the shader parameters used results in a car too much shiny, not enough mat. Are you agree ?
Thank you. I see historical accuracy is important But could you just include them as optionals. Field feels a bit odd without works Porsche Thank you.
Add the filter "GTPC-P956B-WEC84" with the "GTPC-LM84" and you'll get 6 additional cars to your grid with 3 works Porsche.
One year ago, I've started this topic and I think it's the right time to look a little bit in the rearview mirror. The first thing that comes to my mind is that I've started this project alone and on my way some friendly people gave me their times and their help. What a great joy it was to feel supported like that: -without Bernd, no animated wipers & many bugs unsolved. -without Pedro Ramada, worser physics & sounds for Group C cars. -without CedricH (knackko), no UI pictures & some bugs undetected. -without Aurélien, no confidence in Group B physics. I reiterate my thanks for their efforts! In one year, we've converted 5 cars, 7 set of sounds, 9 physics data and 10 engines. Group C cars have more than 5.000 downloads on steam and the 2 new Group B cars have already more than 2.000 downloads. In recent updates, we've added static pit crews and on the first post of this topic you can find the templates. Furthermore, some cars are now fully PBR compatible for skinning. But I know that there is one main question left: what about next? First of all, our league will organize this winter a free championship with group B cars. Feel free to join us! Afterwards, we want to dig further into the AI parameters. I'm more an online player but I've understand now that the majority of you are racing offline. So, somewhere in the year, we'll work on that and we'll take the time to have a correct balance of performance for AI. Another thing on the TODO list is to recreate all the windows textures as it's too much outdated, but to be honest it's not a priority. Our priority is the final four! In 2021, we'll release 4 new models but it will be the last cars added to this project. Now you want to know which cars it will be, right? Sry but it's too easy like that. Instead, we'll play a little guess game, I hope it's funnier. Here is what a spying helicopter have catch: One last thing, don't forget this is only a conversion job from an old rf1 mod. So, all of this would have been completly impossible without the initial job done by Virtua LM junior team, thanks to them one's again!
Good job team!! It seems that the 4 will be Gr.C I bet on a Nissan . Although I would like BMW and Porsche to have more company
Happy to the news and sad (for the end of the project) at the same time Thank you guys For me Your work is one of the best gem that we have on rf2 P. S. Just for curiosity: what is the longest and most difficult part of the job?
Thank you for the kind words. I want to give the "thank you" back to you, because you are the one who started this project, so -without Arnaud, no GTPC Mod at all. And on top, you did the most of the work, which was a lot. So thank you for starting this!
Longest: the graphical part. You can convert quickly but it will not look good ingame. If you want a good result, you have to invest a lot of time in it. Difficult: physics part. Hopefully, the rf1 & AMS base is already good so it's fine-tuning. But I've spend a lot of time on the tires in the beginning of the project and it was a tricky aera. A second model have been catch btw.
