hehe I wish simracing would go that far. I mean Montoya had to read a 30 page manual to drive the 919 in a simple test, imagine a F1 car.
Meanwhile in simracing you hit drive and pedal to the metal :D

Managing the hybrid in the iRacing LMP1s is difficult. Almost becomes study sim like X Plane or Falcon 4.0 at that point.

@R.Noctua just tested C7 and it felt overweighted for default suspension setup, added bit more resistance to suspension(etc) and it came more understandable on reactions. Did they add more weight on it during BoP update?
I have no prior knowledge on this car, it was my first drive with it, car version on game was ~v2.07 or something..

Hehe .. do you really want to read a 30 page book to drive it?:D

So it would stop with me. Unless I'm paid for it royally.:D

Yes, this genre is called simracing after all, we need to move forward to the real thing both in car and event dynamics otherwise may just stop calling it simulators

    Ok, everyone as he likes.
But for me personally it would stop there. The training sessions for the setup are enough for me.
    Then read for each vehicle?
So that I can drive once a week?

Don't get me wrong, I respect your opinion.
It was meant in your direction rather than fun.
    No offense mate.

Dude, be more alpha, stop apologizing. Nothing you said was offensive.
When every sim is making things more simple (and e"sports" will make this worse) there must be space for something more hardcore, I wish rF2 would be it but S397 direction is just unclear at this moment.

    Then it's good.
You know how it works on the internet. Almost everyone takes every shit personally.
I'm alpha enough in real life.
I just want to talk to my m8's like you about our hobby.
Yes, it could be a little more, but please dude not 30 pages long books. :cool:Aquaplaning or hot brakes that warm the tires would be a start. Or that the clutch has to be depressed when shifting, that is definitely missing.
I hope S397 is working on it .

Internet or not, it doesn't matter. I take my shit so personally I have a little room with a seat and a lock on the door.

    Sorry @memoNo1 .I couldn't let that go .
I have the utmost respect for multilingual people but when they don't quite get it right it can be very amusing for a child like me.

I do actually:D....back in the days sims used to come with in-depth books explaining with great detail the sim and its real life counterpart - greatly expanding your immersion and your knowledge of the subject...the pinnacle of this was Falcon 3.0, which came with two bound soft cover books - one a user's manual and one about air combat maneuvers by a real air combat instructor...also there was a video by the same instructor ( although i believe that was a separate purchase)...i avidly read those from cover to cover more than once...nowadays you're lucky to get a changelog...

See the Tatuus and the Formula E, we can change the suspension positions but we don't have any documentation about each settings, so we can only guess. Documentation and manuals sometimes are needed if we want simulation.

Isn't there a publically available owners manual for Tatuus and Radical?

I agree with you. Something should come from S397.

Reminds me the first playing netkar pro, that was so hardcore feeling (and has a 144 pages of manual as well).

@R.Noctua c7, 280nm front, 240nm rear springs, ~25nm preload, everything else stock and no problems on driving..

Tested more, with above changes (+reduced brake pressure), can't find any abnormalities on behaviour of car. Only my own errors reflected as they should.

Mate, thank you so much for such a detailed answer! :)
Didn't find time this weekend to try out a test, but I'll definitely take your advice.

GTE cars weren't always this way in rFactor2. S397 did an "update" around LeMans release last year and completely ruined these cars. They've said they are looking into fixing them, but it's been almost an entire year already.
Plenty about this topic elsewhere on the forums.

Why the heck dont they just undo the changes made to GTE cars around Le Mans? Everybody is complaining about its current state so why not go one step back?

Yeah, but only the devs know everything rF2 can simulate (hopefully they do) so these manuals would need to be adapted by them according to what the sim can do
Not all cars need a manual tho, in some cases a few notes may be enough. The ones that may need a full manual would need more simulated areas I guess
