I know its been mentioned 100's of time about the complexity of RF2 content purchasing. ive been in it a long time, so not been a major issue for me. However, I have a friend who bought rf2 in the sale now, and with some help he has managed to get it up and running and looks like he is getting into it. We mostly race GTE's at the moment, with a league running, but i cant remember how I bought the cars...packs, single etc. Whats the quickest and cheapest way to get all 6 GTE cars?
To get all the GTE cars, which includes the C8-R Corvette, you need to buy two packs. The largest one is the Endurance Pack which includes the original 6 GTE cars but NOT the C8-R.(C7 is in this pack however) That has a total of 10 cars, 4 of which are Prototypes. The Endurance Upgrade pack has only 3 cars, but one of them is the C8-R.
I wonder if that is a typo, the text says 6 GTE cars, but the C8-R would be 7. @Paul Jeffrey you may want to verify the sales text on the two Endurance packs is correct. Having the C8 in both packs seems odd.
Wouldnt it be better just to create a new pack with all the GTE cars in it and price it accordingly? Would make it a lot easier for newcomers to get the content they need, especially as they may need more than one car to join a server? Same for all car classes I guess.
They have condensed some of the carpacks, and every time they do, we see a bunch of complaints about duplication. Even if the price of a pack is a bargain, folks REALLY dislike paying for something twice.(I won't tell you how many vinyl albums I replaced prior to CD's)
The Endurance Pack currently includes all GTE cars: Cadillac DPi-V.R, McLaren Senna GTR, Ligier JS P217 LMP2, Oreca 07 LMP2, Norma M30 LMP3, Corvette C8.R GTE, Aston Martin Vantage GTE, BMW M8 GTE, Corvette C7.R, Porsche 911 RSR and the incredible Ferrari 488 GTE. Don't buy the Endurance Pack and the Endurance Upgrade because you'll buy 3 duplicate cars. And that may seem expensive but it's cheaper than buying all of them separately. If he's willing to wait, it'll likely be 50% off during the next Steam sale which is likely at the end of October.
