Wasn't there a road map months ago that said they were planning to completely redo the interiors of, at least, the GT3s? Was that already done? Because I haven't noticed any difference.

Yes they did talk about that, no it has not been accomplished yet.

Wasn't that just updating the textures to the new pbr renderer?
Meaning they will probably not get fixed and more detailed?

I wouldn't call it "just" updating the textures to new PBR renderer. I think this will make quite a big difference in how people percieve the quality of the cockpits when different materials interact different with the light. I think the biggest problem with the cockpits isn't the amount of detail, but the lack of propper pbr support, the lack of functionality for the LEDs and toggable displays. All of this has basicly nothing to do with how much detail you add to the cockpit. And given the fact that they are targeting for larger grid sizes, I wouldn't go too extreme with tiny bits and pieces that you rarely notice while racing.

That's actually good to hear. It's not something that really needs to happen immediately but it's good to know it's coming and they're working on it.

I'd have thought this would be high priority given the public perception of rF2 graphics.

    Playing devil's advocate...

... so it's surprising so much other stuff has been fixed instead :D

The community opinion on rF2 is already its got the best FFB and physics but also that it look like a game from the 90's  so fixing things that are already perceived are great and leaving things that are perceived need work doesn't help perception o_O
Could I use the word perception more you reckon

Have you seen games from 90s? :) rF2 can look quite good with high settings and right content. It lacks some eye candy effects like in PC2, but I'd rather want S397 focus more on fixing issues and things like proper drivetrain and gearbox implementation. For instance currently you can shift without using clutch with manual transmission. BTW: Marcel promissed those improvements after the new UI.
Don't get me wrong I agree there many things to improve in graphics department, like dashboards, but I'd like physics to have higher priority in rF2.

One question to the Callaway Corvette GT3. In Raceroom for example the data fields of the Motec display, like gear, speed, fuel, lap etc. have descriptions. In RF2 these fields are naked, showing only numbers. Is this a different Motec in RF2 or is it uncomplete?

Probably neither are correct as the Callaway GT3-R dash display at release in 2015 looked like this:

I couldn't find any other pics in my quick search.

Some of the reason is due to limitation of RF2, but it is still possible to make decent display. One great example is SMMG Formula 3 2020, which has one of the best and carefully crafted display of recently imo.

That's something I kinda gave up of complaining, these guys dont seem interested in changing anything.
Wrong rpm leds too, and using the ones for wheel lock as rpm... makes it look cringey as hell

it's true that some things are so incomprehensible and frustrating...especially for official licensed content for a fee!!
a very big bad point that you only see on rf2...
