Hey guys I would like to know if you got some advice I got a triple screen and I'm looking for a new graphics card I want a 1080p/ 1440p image resolution and as I said, it must be able to handle three screens in high settings when I'm racing online What kind of experience or recommendations do you have? Does anyone have a triple screen in use and could share information? I'm thinking about the RTX 4070 or RTX 4060 TI for ex. Have a nice day
Don't bother with 4060TI it has not got enough memory. I think the minimum GPU would be RTX-4070TI and that may struggle with some of the more demanding tracks at high settings especially at 1440, it may be ok at 1080. If you want to run triples at 1440, a 4080 is probably your best bet if you can stretch to that and it would be more future prove as well. 1440 triples is about 25% higher pixel density than a single 4k monitor. I have a 3080 which is roughly equivalent to a 4070 and that can struggle sometimes at 4k especially at sunset and at night. My advice would be save your pennies and get a RTX-4080. Have a look at this site for GPU reviews and comparisons. https://www.youtube.com/c/Hardwareunboxednow/videos
I'm running 1080 triples with a 3070 TI and nearly maxed settings to achieve 75Hz - no G-sync monitors here :-( Sunset and night time races really need more power. That said, I have a 13th gen i5 processor. Would I do better with an i7?
No, not really. You don't do anything with more cores in sim racing as everything is single core performance limited. The i7 probably runs like 5% higher clock frequency than an i5, so you get at most 5% more performance in rF2.
Single core performance is most important parameter with CPU - I am running a RTX3080 which drives triple screen setup at 2560x1440 each and I get around 100 FPS at Nürburgring e.g. and around 90 at Daytona infield running most options set to full or high / ultra.
Until a few months ago I used a 3090 (roughly better than a 4070, less than a 4080) and that worked fine actually (with highest settings). Don‘t forget that your CPU is also working hard depending on some settings.
