Hi All, just a little query. I have a gtx 1070 (for a few more days until my 1080 ti turns up).
When I don't use vsync I get around 90 to 100 fps in dx11, less at the start and in pits though.
When I put vsync on it sits at 60fps except for race starts where it can drop to mid 40's and replays where it fluctuates between 37 to mid 40's.
During all of this the green GPU bar is always at 100%.
So my question is, with sync on should GPU usage always be 100% or should it be lower because I am limiting the fps?
Secondly, and unrelated, what do the spikes on the green and purple bars indicate?
    Cheers

Off the top of my head relying on memory :confused:without doing research:
Green is graphics, purple is physics.
A full green bar is fine.
A full purple bar is not good. A full bar means your CPU is having a heart attack from overload.
Spikes are probably the usual surges of workload.

I'm sure someone more techy will explain further.

Thanks ADSTA will check the links out. My purple bar doesn't go any higher than 50% so I presume that is pretty good then.
