GP79 conversion with permission

If anyone is interested build 660 has cured for me the black screen some were suffering with this mod in previous builds.

Hey guys, I'm ready for some action, hope to convince Arnao :) to get back to that mod, You know life brings some things from time to time that have to take higher priority.
@ samuelw - thats great news, anyone else noticed black screen issue gone ?
 
We need to hold a GP at Dijon 79 soon. I've been thinking about it for a while, but I am running a BES season right now so I'm holding off until it is done in July.

We could use a short stint to take mod to a bit higher level. zonder and others have helped a lot, there must be a few others wanting to get it going again. It's begging for another push up the road.
 
Has anyone else noticed that in every GP79 car on any track that the front tires wear faster than the rears? Is it something I am doing wrong?
 
Sorry can't say anything about the tires. The latest builds made it impossible for us (Fun2Race) to host a gp79 server. Something is wrong when u try to do the vmod. And we noticed some server crashes on specific cars like the latest model of the lotus cars, i think its called mk80 or something. Everytime i tried this car online i crashed the server and this also goes with some other cars. Don't know which ones were crashing i can just remember that that lotus cars keeps crashing the server.

Arnao and all the other guys did a fantastic job on this mod i really hope he gets back in the mood to sort some things out and polish the whole thing a little bit more. :)

I get an error (404) when I use that dropbox link.

What level of dropbox account do I need to access the files?
do I need a dropbox account at all?

Tried again the mod after its update and its sweet, lots of thanks :)
Zonder's Tyrrell cockpit is simply jaw droping, can you try and do the rest mate please please?

btw I have a problem in the mod, the sound is very low even at highest volume, is it only me?

sorry you will find the official release thread of dijon79 here. This was just a test build of the track to get some feedback.

About the black screen, it's still there. Only took me a few seconds in garage to discover it + the flickering black patches on the ground (problem with shadows?).

It's a shame because I really like this mod, but I haven't used it for many months now. Hope someone can fix it in the future! The new great cockpits deserves to be used more!
 
Yep but in the meantime I noticed this on several other mods and tracks.
For example with the URD Darche and McNolo's Bahrain or with F1RFT or with the WSGT Megane.
It seems to be something like shadow clipping I'm sure Luc or Tuttle could answer why this happen.
But I'm not a modder so I'm the wrong to ask this question.
