Same here. Package not showing up in build 228 with Mod Manager v0.92p regardless of what I have checked.
OK folks- the F1 mid-season break is almost upon us. August 11 or 18th we need to race Zolder 79. Arnao will be away for the first few weeks of the break, but will hopefully be able to make a race on the 11th or 18th. When do you want to race? I'm going to be in the Tyrell (I stick with 5-speeds since I use a h-shifter.... 6 speed is just too much!)
Hi all, I got a pbs with a potential update. "LEM" did a great work to bring to GP79 some soft goodyear tires he made from scratch... I've made an update with it and need your help to test update process... so if some of you want to test it please PM me and I will send you the link to it with some explanation...
The main PBS is that all car are already really well balanced If I start to tweak some physics I will brake all the mods... But tell me what is your main PBS with the actual physics it may can help me a lot to know what you waiting for
Hiya Arno I tried this mod when it was first released but I will try again this week, not saying there's anything wrong with it ( I think my settings were a tad screwed p at the time) I'll leave some constructive feedback when I try again, keep up the good work as this was great in rf1 (-;
No PBS.... they maybe something wrong with it just need help to spot on some main issues... I will always keep asking constructive(or not) feedback... Thanks Adrian PM me if you wanna test this little tiny update...
Sorry if this has been previously mentioned. Changing tire compounds seems to change the final drive ratio. IRL I would guess the different tire compounds have different tire diameters. Anyway when I change, say to wet tires from hard, I seem to need to adjust my gear ratios. (driving T3) Sam
Thanks Sam, So this is one main purpose for this UPDATE... Seen that the HARD tires was completly a mess... I mainly use ISI tires from renault 3.5 and adapt them to GP79 car with a size coef in TGM files( files for tires)...I've inverted value between width and radius !!! This had been corrected in next update... And I repeat I just need some of you to test install process of this update...and verify that there's no PBS when you will launching a RACE... The EXTRA bonus of this UPDATE are the new LEM soft proto tires !!!
Update worked fine for me, and no CTD's at any point. I'm still trying to pinpoint a definable difference in the tires. I can however get a better time with the LEM's. Have only ran about 60 laps around Silverstone with 20 AI.
Thanks a lot Jim for feedback... Woa you did 60 laps of Silverstone... Nice... LEM tires seems a bit too grippy but he still working on it... It's seems that I've to correct one thing more before a potential released but I'm quite happy that any of the tester got no CTD except Guy but he already sorted his issue... So stay tune I may release it tomorow or at least this week !!!
Oh yea, 60 laps was such a pain, my gosh, I may not survive (lol). The tires were a bit grippy, but I have to say, they feel more comfortable ( maybe what I mean is feel a bit more natural ) *edit I almost forgot an anomaly, I first ran 20 lap with the original ver. 4 before attempting update. Everything in the pits were fine. Then applied update (and all went well). Then I ran another 30 or so laps with the update. Every time that I went into garage and back out onto the track the cars in the end garage and about the 4th from the end were full of tire smoke. That happened every exit of pit row while running with the update. I then uninstalled updated mod and then reinstalled just the vanilla ver. 4. Pits were back to normal for another 10 to 15 laps. (upon exiting garage and pits, no more garages filled with tire smoke.)
