In addition we provide a MoTeC workspace set by PLAYLIFE and supervised by Mr.D, "our" GP3 Engineer, that is still following the development and the performances of the GP3 mod.

PLAYLIFE will be more exhaustive in helping you in details, so at the moment I note only few advice:

    1. download and install the "DAMPlugin for rF2" developed by Lazza: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/damplugin-for-rf2.49363/
    2. edit the file "DAMPlugin.ini" usually stored in ...\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player and set to "1" ALL channels (base and extra)
    3. download and install the MoTeC i2PRO build or above: http://www.motec.com/software/latestreleases/
    4. download, unzip and install our workspace "rF2_2017_GP3_v6.zip" that is attached to the post

Once you will have driven some laps, you will be able to see all info and graphs in the MoTeC workspace, just opening our workspace and then opening the LOG file the DAMPlugin has recorded.
I suggest to drive the out-of-pit lap, few laps and ending last lap driving to your pit. before pressing ESC.

Please, do not post issues specifically related to the use of the MoTeC and/or the DAMSPlugin here, because you should post in the appropriate thread: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/damplugin-for-rf2.49363/
Feel free to post here anything related to the GP3 Series and its acquisition data and I'm sure that PLAYLIFE, depending of the few free time he has, will answer.

    Build 2.23
    - NEW Hi-Res visors that allow rain drops and new template
    - NEW "tear-off" visor effect
    - NEW personalized visors for a lot of drivers now in HiRes
    - revised windscreen for a better quality of rain drops

    Build 2.15
This is mainly a graphical upgrade for all 2018 cars and drivers, also due to the new entries of this season. Excluding new updates for technical reasons, this is the last upgrade of ever for the GP3 Series, because IRL this is the last season of the GP3 Series that will be merged with the Formula 3 for the next years.
This is the opportunity to thank all the mates that, since years ago, participated to the development of the mod that covers 3 years of life (also our life, LOL) and the community that always supported our belowed free hobby.

    Build 2.01 - 2.00
We are proud to present the latest 2018 version of the GP3 Series, the last of its racing life.
The 2018 Series has been updated in the graphics and in the physics also due to the new info a couple of GP3 Teams provided to us. Main improvements refer to the tires, 2018 specifications by Pirelli and consequently the new CPM developed by Michael Borda (please note that new 2018 tires are available only for the 2018 Series!) and the new steering wheel as fully explained in several posts into this thread.
Here some more details regarding ONLY the most important changes from 1.41 to this new build:
    - 4K resolution for 2018 cars (higher res for body/wing/helmet/etc...)
    - full rain effects added to body, helmet, suit, visor for all series ("special effects" by Chris "redapg")
    - new tire shape for all series(3D by Chris "redapg")
    - new 2017/2018 hook (3D by Chris "redapg")
    - new 3D for 2016 and 2017/2018 steering wheel (Chris "redapg")
    - new DRS sides panels for 2018 cars and fake working panels (in options)
    - new 3D for 2018 rear wing (Chris "redapg")
    - new steering wheel options and new physics to keep it similar to 2016 and 2017 Series but with more turning angle (Slow Motion)
    - new 2018 CPM tires only for 2018 cars(Michael Borda)
    - refueling for leagues sim needs (in options)
    - new 2018 liveries, helmets, visors (Chris 'Brack Jabham', Boxer, Slow Motion)

    Special thanks to:
    - Daniel Surace, that performed a lot of very detailed tests reporting feedback and MoteC data
    - GP3 Engineers and Sim-rig Specialists for explanations, data and feedback
    - few GP3 2018 drivers for tests

Build 1.38: removed some unneeded files
Build 1.37: added new visual damages to the body
Build 1.35: fixed wrong collision between cars
Build 1.31: updated to latest real life 2017 liveries, added 2017 helmets and visors for each driver (Chris 'Brack Jabham', Boxer, LcR) - improved steering wheel for new paddles (3d by Chris 'redapg') and new dash fonts - added GP3 TVCockpit Cam - added/replaced new drivers --- PHYSICS: tuned brake heating, cooling, bias, duct, range and new default setting for brakes - added option for 2017 gearbox - improved performances of DRS for 2017 series due to MoTeC info of real cars - new default setup for 2016 and 2017 for packers and ride height.
Build 1.0: optimized FOR DX11 POSTFX - main 3D and 2D by haunetal1990 - Chris "redapg" 3D (Wheels, Suspensions, 2017 Rear Wing & DRS, body improvements and fixes) - Physics by Chris "redapg", Edwin "eddy", Slow Motion, Studio 397 Physics Engineer Michael Borda and GP3 Engineer DC - Sounds recorded and sampled by Felipe Giro - Motec data and tests by Jean-Luc Dal Prà - Liveries by Chris “Brack Jabham”, Boxer, LcR, Johannes M, Ruben van den Hudding "Lightcruiser" - Original data provided by GP3 Team - Special thanks to GP3 drivers and S397 Test Team for several extended testing sessions.

For reference, here is the link to the "history of the development", thread starded by Markus, aka haunetal1990, on October 10th, 2015: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/gp3-series-2016-2017.50364/

    Cars feel very, very nice!

Do the real ones have so little engine braking? That's the only element that feels odd to me, but the GP3's may have a non-traditional throttle mapping designed to prevent the tail from getting loose/stabilizing the car. Is it intentional?

just made a couple of lap with my OSW, the ffb feels a bit soft @1.0 but the general feel of the car is very very good!!

just to know... how many NM has the real driver on the steering wheel?

Thank you for this mod, we have been patiently waiting for it for so long and it's finally here!
Very friendly cars to drive so hopefully we can get more people interested in driving them than the FR3.5 that scared most people away.
I like it that there are cars like the FR3.5 and Formula ISI 2012 that feel great and challenging to drive and have a high skill cap but we need something to help people ease into the formula experience in our league and it looks like this one is very promising indeed.

Is the visor central for you? Mine's not in this and the civic, I won't bug report it in case it's something wrong on my end :)
