thanks for the reply,i did as you said but no joy, i tried loading all the different thrustmaster profiles and all that did was change the ffb intensity. even at damping set to 20 its still there, its like constantly driving over a curb which gets worst in the corners.
Is this before even braking? literally out of the pit lane? is it at every track? default setup. what settings are in your T300 control panel. Thats definetely odd, my cousin has a T300 aswell and hasnt had this problem.
as soon as i leave the garage,i made sure im not spinning the wheel or even touching the brake,it gets worst as the speed increases and while cornering,my t300 setting in tm control panel are the default ones,in rf2 i use no min force,110 ffb multi and 4 smoothing. i was going to ask you to compare controller json files, but i dont know how to upload it,and copying and pasting the text would just be too much text for a forum post lol oh im on th latest firmware and driver too
i have a lot of problems with my thrustmaster T150 as well rattling is the worst and it happens with a lot of the cars the only solutions is to lower ffb strenth and put ffb smooth to 8 but on gp3 i dont have that problem usually i have it on isi cars that if i do more than 3 laps the ffb is start to rattling for no reason also if i burn my tyres on a corner or if i go out of track rattling starts very bad i think its RF2 problem not GP3 mod very annoying problem that makes some mods Unplayable. i hope the rf2 team fix the rattling problem some day
I had a little of that shake when I had my older Logi G25, but I haven't been able to reproduce that with my Thrustmaster TS-PC which I've setup basically according to the TS300\500 settings listed here.
Are you using default car setup? And what track are you testing on? Mod track or default? That does sound bizare. I'll see if I can PM or upload my controller file. For reference I use 6.5 min force. 1.0 or 1.1 ffb multiplier. 0 smoothing. Default steering lock managed by rfactor2. I know my t300 in ctronol panel I have change some settings. Gain 82% Constant 100% Periodic 100% Spring 0% Damper 0%
just took these for a spin again at Bruno, 30 AI . just so much fun .its been awhile since Ive driven them and they feel even better than before. Thanks team. ps The whole sim just looks so amazing these days . running everything maxed 100+fps (single 144hz) happy days
Sorry should have said,i use default setup and it happens at mod tracks and s397 tracks, would be cool if you could pm me your json so I can compare, thanks.
it doesnt happens right after i hit the race button exiting the pit it starts to happens for no reason with many mods after 2 laps or 3. by the way what are the flatspots ? i m having heavy stuttering with some mods and no stutter with some others. FISI 2012 gives me stutter after 3 laps that i cannot dial out with 1.smoothness or 2.gain reduction from Thrustmaster control panel or from the game. Gain at thrustmaster control panel is at 54 or less and gain at RF2 settings is at 60 or less Stutter always starts after some laps or if i burn my tyres just a little.
Flatspots are when you lock the front tyres, and then you get vibrations, try turning them off and see if that is the cause
1.How to turn off flatspots? where do i find the option?. 2.i run tyre wear = normal. 3.I play with auto clutch ONLY.
I think it's part of either the tire wear or damage. Set both to zero. Good luck. Once you have tested that some, turn both damage and tire wear back on. See if you can reproduce the vibration.(that would indicate you ARE flatspotting the tires) Then get out of the car and turn on ABS...on full... Run some more laps and try braking hard. If the vibrations does NOT occur this again proves you are flat spotting the tire. The cure will most likely require you to reduce the brake pedal pressure in your setup AND retrain yourself to think of your brake pedal as a fresh egg. You don't want to crush the egg with your braking. Ease down on the pedal.. This will result in slower lap times for awhile, but I think you will regain the time lost after some long consistent practice runs. Best of luck.
amazing help.....!!!!! from now on i will play with brake at 50% and will be gentle on brake.... but thinking of this effect.......Do we really NEED that effect ? i mean why steering wheel go crazy cause of tire wear ? it can happened during the race to need to brake suddenly and flat spot the tire..... why have that effect from steering wheel seriously ?. does this happens in real life to have that king of vibration ? which is completely crazy i say again.
Just think about it yourself... you make your tire "square" with a lock up.... what you expect to happen?
i just ask cause i have no real experience from Formula car with slick tires.... still that vibration i take on my steering wheel isnt makes sense why happening with so much tension. i played Automobilista with FFB set to pure 360 hz and the rattling is much more gentle of course AMS has different tire model.
You ever watch f1,they will pit asap after getting a flatspots due to the vibrations being so harsh it,it can even make it hard to see. They also say the vibrations would shake your fillings out,but of course that’s an over statement lol I personally love this feature, racing is all about tyre management,it really changes the way you approach driving
