[REL] GP3 SERIES 2016/2017/2018 2.31

Last quick news: we have pending only 3 helmets+visors (one to be painted by scratch and 2 to be repainted here and there...). Then the mod will be ready!

A last addition I did is, for both 3 series 2016 - 17 - 18, a new option to be selected in the tuning/showroom, that allows the refueling during the race for sim needs. Since long time few leagues asked for it and just yesterday I received another request.
By default refueling is not allowed, like happens in real-world races, but as option it could be useful for sim races that last more than 35-40 minutes and depending of track and driving style.
 
Info in the first post about the incoming new build 2.00, with the 2018 series too. For manual downloading you already can find the link to the new and updated templates.
For the mod and Steam you must wait for courtesy of TIM and its very fast lines that uploads into repositories will see checkered flag ... due to the rain DSL stops working several times daily and usually every time I must restart the uploads, LOL

Maybe you will wait for a little longer, because unfortunately the latest 1804 Windows 10 just updated is creating continuous severe crashes to my pc. The big issue is that the recovery crashed too during the process and I forgot more than150GB... I'm using backup files, but if I'm not able to download an iso of previous build 1709, because the system freezes during the download... next year I'll still wait for recovering. No words, it is the first time I'm in trouble with Windows 10.
I'm posting via smartphone, LOL.

Be patient please and my apologies for OT.

Mod should be now available in Steam and in the first post for manual download.

Into ...:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Templates, in case of Steam update, there should be also the new and revised templates.

Due to continuous stops of DSL for rain (!!) and my troubles with the PC, I'm not sure everything is visible and I cannot check it correctly. Please, post in case of issues.

I'll have a look when I get home, Slow. Hope it's all there as I've been waiting til the 18 update to do a review.
 
Awesome work!
The first thing I did was to go out and play in the rain with the visor mod in the 2018 car. There is an issue in that I found the wet tyres to be 8-10 seconds slower a lap than softs on a 64-100% saturated track. All aspects of performance seemed to be significantly worse than the softs - braking, cornering, traction. Driveability was also very much worse with the softs being much easier to anticipate loss of grip compared to the wets.

You are right, I'm going to fix it in a quick way but I cannot test it in deep, due to issues to my PC. I hope to update Steam version for tomorrow.

I confirm the issue affects only the 2018 tires and consequently the 2018 series.
 
okay, sorry for the issue... Build 2.01 is online ONLY for Steam at the moment with the quick fix at the 2018 rain tires.
Tomorrow I hope to be able to upload the whole 2.01 in repositories for manual download.
 
as I said, yes I made a mistake, stupid mistake... in fact 2.01 is already available in Steam, because uploading the whole mod with only 2 little files that are now different, takes only 1 minute. On this side Steam is great!!
To do the same for linking manual downloads means to upload for every time more than 370 Mb and here it takes long time.
