Happens to all of us. Like me, the reason I didn't get the cap removed was because I was editing the dev mode plr, not the single player one. :)

I have problem with shadows on my track. Shadow of garage looks really strange, look at the picture.
It looks in that way with "caster" set off.

And if "caster" is on it looks like that.

I think geometry is OK. Where is the problem ?

    Hi

Rfactor crashes at loading screen in single player and I have no idea why.

Track works fine in dev mode, I have AIW so it should also work in single player.

    Any ideas?

XSectors? Dodgy AIW? Linked to correct TDF?

    That's all I can think of ...

XSectors and TDF are fine. Without them even in dev mode rf doesn't work.

Dodgy AIW? Can you explain more?

When in doubt, re-do the AIW. Not sure why or when, but sometimes it gets messed up. Perhaps calculating the corridors, connecting the pit path as a branch or on automatically connecting the pit/garage spots to the pit path.
As a first step, try simply re-saving the AIW from Dev Mode.

I have done some conversions of my circuits and the use AIW from rF1 (no cornerworkers) and works in singleplayer.

my experience is with crashes most are in the XSectors.

try delete all GMT's and empty garbage folder then Export Gmt's again.

Most be something specific about AIWs. For Topeka the rF1 AIW worked fine for Dev Mode, but crashed when packaged for rF2 proper. After simply re-saving the AIW from within Dev mode, then repackaging, it worked fine.

You could compare rF1 and rF2 AIW files for Topeka to see what has changed.

Hey guys new to making tracks and rfactor modeling in general, i was just wondering when creating tracks is it best to add elevation changes before you loft the track section from a line?

Lap times, position, hour? Is this possible in rf2?

Analog clock hands should work. Take a look at the old Belgium track.
The other items are on my personal wishlist too :) .

By using visgroups you can display some session-specific objects, so you could have a display telling you which session you're in (Fuji has that with the blue bridge over the track near pit entry, it shows PRACTICE/QUALY/WARMUP/RACE depending on the session). There's also two more visgroup for daytime-only and nighttime-only, so you could also have a display saying "HEADLIGHTS ON" or something, only lighting up at night.

The first thing I'd try would be a Reset XForm. I can't think of anything else right now anyway ...

Have you tried Reset XForm on it? Accidentally tagged as "Move"(able)?

Seems like pivot point could be in wrong place, set all pivots to 0,0,0 in Max.

Can you explane a bit this animation?
I saw in Belgium but a bit fast the clock, i mean the clock doesn't shows the right time and too fast. I'm working the same analog clock without second, just hour and minute but it doesn't work and i can't see see the clock in my track. The question is what i need to set in Max at the animation rollout?
