Like it says race fans, Get Mod ain't a work'n on the F3-Fanatics' server.

When my or anyone else's machine tries to get content via get missing components button it looks like the track is going to download, then it says "name of track" downloaded successfully but it can't install it.

When I check the file size of the "track downloaded" it is a 0kb file.

I've tried re-installing rF2 as well as using Noel's GetModMgr tool.

    Thanks in advance!

Did you double check the file itself Bryan?

    I don't understand the question.

"double check the file itself" The file on the dropbox pro is the full track or car, whatever that size is. The same on the server "F3_Fanatics!"; the track file is correct. But, when downloaded to my home machine it shows as a 0kb sized file.

    To date I have;

    Re-installed the game.

Changed ports used to download content.

    Changed them back.

Made completely new vMODs using Noel Hibbard's tool for registering where the track/car is located for download.

Right now... backing up the packages folder again and re-installing rF2 again.

I have made sure that Windows firewall is turned off. The server runs wide open... All ports turned on. No virus protection. No firewall. 1GB bandwidth.

I was going to wait for the next build of rF2 to come out but, who knows when that will be. : )

    Thanks,

    Bryan

I meant if it is indeed a correct file, and not corrupted during upload.

Thanks, yes, I did check and double checked... tripled checked.

Just re-installed the game. All fresh and new files.

Right now, I have Lienz with IsI historic cars. Same thing.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

Bryan... login to your GetMod account here:
    http://getmod.srrs-racing.net/login.php

Then click user prefrences and then change your alias from "Bryan Birtwell" to "BryanBirtwell". The space is probably breaking GetMod. I thought I fixed this by replacing the space with a %20 but apparently not. I will look into this some time today so that others don't run into this in the future. But for now, removing the space should get you running right away.

Edit: Nevermind, I updated my tool to escape the spaces with %20's now. So you can leave your alias the way it is and just download the new version of my tool.

    Hey Noel,

Is there anything wrong with your server?

When I run your GetModmgr program; I get the following error message from both the server in NY and my home machine here in AZ.

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you clic... bla bla bla... Unable to connect to the remote server.

I get the same message from both machines. And... The game can't download anything from my server.

Should I try re-registering "GetModMGR" with another user name? I don't want to complicate things by having more than one account on your server.

Is it your server that my machines can't "connect" with? I can download directly from my DropBox Pro account.

I seem to be able to download content from other servers. Which leads me to believe it's on my end. But, I'm getting the same error message on two seperate machines when I run GetModmgr...

If I click on "continue", when I get the error message, your program opens up but, is empty of any content. That's the same on both machines as well.

The F3 Fanatics' server runs on Server 2008b and I'm run'n Win 7 Ultimate here at home. My server runs wide open... No firewalls... All ports open, it only hosts rF2 and Team Speak.

    Thanks in advance!

    Bryan
