    Dear all,

We are looking to hold a local event to use a particular car which is not on rFactor2 at this moment. I have a long list of short questions:
    - Is it allowed to add any car to rFactor2?
    - Can this new car be made available to particular users for an local commercial event?
    - Are there modders available for hiring to this type of assignment? What is estimated cost range and how soon can it be done?

    Appreciate your help.
    Stephen

Yes, any car can be added to rF2, with some restrictions. Nothing prevents your group from making whatever car you want and have it work with rF2. But many web-sites that distribute mods tend to shy away from a project that infringes upon a manufactuer's copyright. However, we have had Ferraris in rF2 before S397 had the 488 license. We have any number or car varieties. Another caveat is the creation of the car itself...if it's ripped from another game, that is generally frowned upon. If it is a copy of another modder's work, that requires permissions. If it is to be soley for private use within your group, then pretty much all restrictions evaporate. Finding a modder and getting a time frame? That is more difficult. You may have to keep advertising for help to attract the attention of modders. Best of luck.

Many thanks Dave for your reply. Any companies out there do the modding? Does 397 regulate or authorise modding companies? Does 397 offer such service directly? That would be a much reliable arrangement for the quality of the build, continuous support and modification etc. Apologies for bombarding you with all those questions.

Commercial use of rF2 I believe needs approval from S397, so maybe start there.

*for more info, click Site up the top of the forum, and go to About Us. There is a EULA linked there as well.
