Should you not have a marketing push that says rFactor2 has been released? That way some folk will want to come buy who have been waiting for the "end of beta" as it were?
reading some points here seems for me that some dudes never really tried iracing long enough or serious enough to see what happend there. i quit iracing last year somewhere between oct trough dec. i put alot of money into it cause i like oval racing and bought some cars like the latemodel/indycar/truck/nascarB+A and a whole bunch of tracks. my reason to quit iracing was i tried to get into that whole career stuff and took my time and tried to race every week so i could finish a whole season. than there were the last update i received which introduced driving on a tablet with a touchscreen. WTF?!?! are those guys serious? i bought a wheel and i would also buy a motion rig, if i had the money and then there comes a feature for a motorsport simulation portal where u can race on your ipad? in the same update they ****ed up some temperatures so that the engine couldn't last a race. yeah i missed a raceweek there and couldn't complete a whole season. same goes on for every update build they make on a car, u race 3 or 4 weeks with that car and suddenly the whole car behaves a bit stranger than all those weeks before. i learned my part here. i bought about 7 or 8 cars and about 12 or 14 tracks. i also preorderd the lotus49 and never got it i think it is still in devmode and i payed the monthly fee. i have to say i really enjoy this ongoing development state in simulations, cause we all know simulations are way bigger than some childish games so its almost impossible to release a fully bug free sim where everything will work as expected. If u look into rf1 we now have 2013 and rf1 was released in 2005. there are still plenty of servers up, hundreds of mods and tracks and there are still enough leagues and racing clubs running it. So if u purchased rf1 back in 2005 u got maybe the best deal for your bucks ever. 8 years of a game. or better 8 years of a sim. i don't think that there are many products outthere which could last as long as rf1 did and will do. But that is also a big + point on ISIs side to give us dedicated servers.
Lol. You are going to try and tell me that my "year" after rF2 is in its release/gold form, starts in 8+ weeks? Lol. k. Better hurry up then.
Yes, shoot me an email timw@imagespaceinc.com and I'll do it with you. Can only do it via use of Paypal though, by the way.
Sorry but I had to quote this. I think theres some kind of miss understanding here. I never said that I don“t want to pay the yearly feed, when I had pay for the sim didn't any doubt about what I was doing and what expect to have. Nor put in doubt about the prices of the product. Was just saying that is a diferent approach than rF1 and the everyone must have it in consideration . Wait, I didn't realized that is possible to have oficial updates after the first yearly feed date without payment. Come on, what you talking about, do you mean that if update manually, I can benefit all the other features of the online services, like race online on dedicate servers with an updated version? Guess not. What in the hell I will want rF2 if I can't race online and with an updated sim? rFactor, Costumize, Control, Connect, remember? People must not forgot it. In another words, keep on the good work. Regards
Damn it! I got an answer from Tim but now I wish I had asked a different question. How about... will the SLI be reworked before the meter starts?
OMG! You're not going to have oval racing!?!?!? :-( Just kidding! Seriously, I don't have any worries or complaints about labels, when OP is going to get back in, etc. I have to say that's I am mildly interested in when ISI decides to market but only mildly.
