Thread necro incoming. This keeps happening on the current build. Does anyone know a workaround for this to work somehow? The crash is the standard "rFactor 2 has stopped working" Windows 10 dialog. Event Viewer: And: See build confirmation below: Thanks in advance.
Just bumping the above. Surely someone has experienced this, and managed to fix it? Since the previous replay wasn't working on resume, I restarted the same race, and this time it was ruined by an AI turning around on the racing line. Tried to resume again, and again the resume just crashes with the previously supplied scenario. Really frustrating.
Resume from replay is working for me. What's the car/track combo? Did you set something special for replay recording in the player.json. (outside the ingame settings) Default looks like this: Code: "Record Hotlaps":1, "Record Hotlaps#":"whether to record hotlaps or not (must have replay recording on)", "Record Replays":1, "Record Replays#":"whether to record replays or not", "Record To Memory":false, "Record To Memory#":"record replays to memory rather than disk (may possibly reduce stuttering, but at your own risk because memory usage will be significant for long races)", "Relative Fuel Strategy":true, "Relative Fuel Strategy#":"Show how much fuel to ADD, rather than how much TOTAL fuel to fill the tank up to (note: new default is true)", "Relevant Setups Only":1, "Relevant Setups Only#":"0 = show all setups in folder, 1 = only show setups for your current vehicle", "Replay Base Fidelity":2, "Save All Replay Sessions":true, "Save All Replay Sessions#":"whether to save the replay from each session", "Settings Type":1,
Hey Gijs. Good to see a friendly face from RD here again. I changed Record to Memory to true - results in less/no stuttering. Replay Base Fidelity - I'm not sure what the number is in the file, but Replay fidelity is set to Full/Max in-game under replay settings. Do you think this may cause the issue? I hope not, coz both settings are pretty useful.
I resumed a race and it started me with cold tires and also with pit limiter switched on. Not a major problem but it caught me completely off guard first time (restarted and was ready for it to happen. Just had to go easy on tires waiting for temp rise). Tried one other save and it was fine. Will try a few others to see if it's only that specific save file. (Build 1108)
I reckon tire wear should be resumed, temp probably never worked. There are massive number of temperature nodes in an rF2 tire so storing them all in replay every n:th second would probably not be feasible.
same goes for brake temp, You have to be careful if you resume from a long straight with a big braking !
On my system it's the same. If I turn record replay to memory on I can't resume a replayfile. If I turn it off I can. Record to memory is a important feature for me because it reduce microstuttering on my system (I've only ssd's in my system ^^) therefore I have to live without resume from replay Edit: Äh and yes can't say if it's still the same with build 1108. My short test was done with build 1098.
