I bought rFactor 2 yesterday and it ran fine, I installed some content from the steam workshop and it was still running ok. Today however, I went on racedepartment and installed some tracks and now rf2 loads, then a few seconds later freezes and crashes. Any help would be very much appreciated as I really want to be able to play this game.
Unninstall and delete the last installed. Try the game and if it goes correct then try to install one by one and driving each track since you found the problem. Normaly the most problematic are the pluggins.
I would suggest going into the installed folder and making a search query for *.mft. The .mft files are created when content is installed. Deleting the "version" folder which contains the mft file uninstalls that version of the component. If using this fast uninstalling method you avoid having to previously uninstall any race series (vmod) that might be using deleted content. In mod manager you will find those vmods corrupted which makes it way easier to locate them if you have many of them installed.
