    Got a default audio device selected in windows settings? Something wrong there definitely causes an 80% crash.

    Other than that, install (Run, select install or repair) all 4 runtimes files in Support\Runtimes.

    *and if still no good, create a trace file and attach it here. The next step will be a dump file for the devs but probably you'll sort it before that.

    Dmp files are very useful for us to fix whatever is causing the crash. Make sure you are running latest.

    my Rfactor 2 crashes when
    1. start rfactor 2;
    2. then turn on a bluetooth audiodevice (I use a bluetooth speaker, just power on)
    3. windows changes the audio device
    4. then load session

    I have Bluetooth headphones... That is the only difference since last time I booted up... How do I fix that?

    If you have a dmp file (location as per here) Alex might like to look at it. If you can do a trace file as well maybe that'll help.

    After that, check that your headphones are selected in windows sound settings as the 'default device'. Be sure to do this before rF2 is running.

    See my first post here, the windows settings has my devices listed with the speakers shown as the default device. I've seen people with 80% crashing with "no default device" (not entirely sure what that means) or the wrong device selected. So just curious what you've got there. Might not be related.

    Could you explain how to help others with similar issues?
